Sabrblade, do you like these toys? Or are they to farfetched for your taste?
I know you like Beast Wars, what about Neo?

NO! The Go toys are not worth it. Are they fun? Sure, I wont say they arent, Takara is a fun company. But they are way too pricey for what you are getting. Hence why you easily catch one of the three falling to very cheap prices on amazon. The problem is you then have to buy the other ones which are, as I said, not worth the money. You can always give them a test run though.
The deal is this, they are only worth it for combined mode. The individual alt modes and robot modes are really secondary and that is why I did not see it being worth it. These are also the smallest "voyagers" I have ever seen.

Granted I've never had one in hand but aesthetically I think they're pretty awesome. That said I am someone who unironically considers RID Side Burn a masterpiece of engineering so take what I say with a grain of salt...
I own 3 of them and like them too, along with Sideburn. And, let me tell you this, they are as laborious to transform as Sideburn so they will be right up your alley. And you can get them for dirt cheap too (there are a bunch more where this one came from).

I still want them, plus I don't think takara's unorthodox designs is a bad thing...if someone from Hasbro helps to guide them.

Yes, there is a reason I chose the word "unorthodox" designs over "bad" designs, since while they are all atypical, they aren't all bad designs.

Just curios, you do such a diplomatic job of staying neutral, I wondered what you thought.Sabrblade wrote:I like the CR toys. I own very few BWNeo molds, but they're okay aside from some of the large amounts of altmode shell kibble.

Neo ARE kibbly, I'll give you that.
EDIT: Oh! and thanks Will, I'll take your word for it.

I kinda want the Nemesis Prime version but I hear it has a lot of molding issues. I did have an idea to take a regular Big Convoy and kitbash it into a necrotic, cybernetic, disturbing-looking Nemesis Prime.

Devastator wasn't in Car robots, Neo or Go but he should of been and it would of been glorious.

Well we were just talking about series were takara did all the engineering. Though car Robots did already have a construction based combiner...and actually a train based combiner. ..and diaclone reference prephaps?

The train (called JRX) was a model based on the combiners from the Brave series.

Thought it was a stretch to be honest but nice to know it was another brave reference
