Maybe...Legends Groove can "attach" to his deluxe-sized replacement teammate in some fashion, instead of being a micromaster weapon for the gestalt mode like Powerglide for Superion. That way you can still feel like he's a proper piece of Defensor instead of an accessory. Perhaps Warpath will be Defensor's weapon partner instead?

Maybe he's a headmaster... turns into Defensor's head... I mean Powerglide is Superion's Targetmaster, Blackjack is basically a power master for Menasor... It's a bit nuts, but considering what we've seen from HasTak lately I wouldn't be too surprised

Protectobot Rook is kinda funny if it's the same as FunPub's Rook. I guess that would make him a Stunticon repaint? What I really find interesting is that with Alpha Bravo and his potential Vortex repaint we'll have a third helicopter with Blades.

I'm also thinking that DPT (DecePTicon?) Viper might have a drone alt mode that turns into Bruticus' chest plate. At least, that's really what I want it to be.

I wonder what the chances are of Hot Spot getting repainted into Hose Head?

Rook is an interesting one though. Are we talking keychain Windcharger repaint Rook? Will this be a new mold? Does this mean there'll be a windcharger mold for the Masquerade botcon set theory?

What seems more likely is what people are thinking on TFW and that's that Rook will end up being a new character, who's a swat van or something, and Rook is short for Rookie. Seems weird also that the entire wave is autobots, after having the Aerialbots and Stunticons slightly staggered across 2 waves to give a little more variety.

Legends Groove huh? Makes sense to be honest. Deluxe motorbikes aren't so bad as simple figures, but as part of a combiner team they look completely out of place.

Hope his replacement isn't too boring.

I'm wondering where those rumours came from that HasTak had bought the molds to Hercules. If they had and they sold Hercules themselves...would it be a good thing?

OK at best? It pretty much opened the door for 3rd party combiners and remains one of the best ever made to this day. Superb combined mode, excellent individual robots, solid as a rock, minimal partsforming and no leftover parts...

My one concern with Hasbro buying the molds is the possibility of simplification or weaker plastic. On the other hand they might pre-install the string on Dr Crank so...

I'm fine with Groove being a Legends. Every time they make a Deluxe motorcycle (Animated Prowl, Prime Arcee, etc.), I tend to end up also buying the Legends version to use in altmode anyway.

I was actually thinking here...

Deluxe Alpha Bravo could make a very nice Seacon Overbite with some retooling.From what I can see here it's basically

1- Fold heli tail on back

2 - Arms to the sides

3- turn waist around and extend legs

This last step could be just extend legs, whole the front of the heli becomes the shark's head, his arms become the shark's rear legs and the heli tail is a shark tail...

I'm not sure about the seacons though and this is someone who loves the seacons. Given the rate of the toys we may only get to technobots and predacons.

Well, that unfortunately is probably not going to happen.

I'd say they could maybe heavily remold the new Insecticon (Bombshell?) into Nautilator

with the liberties theyre taking with the current CW guys (and rumored ones) i doubt we'll get the seacons exactly the way we remembered them. but if we did get seacons, the whole legends pair-up thing hey got going bodes well.
