Like I said before, I really really hate how the terms "Generation 1" and "G1" have so many definitions that cause confusion like this.JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:Also, the current Generations lines and the IDW comicsw may not be G1 in its pure form, they're still based on it, and as such some feel it has to slavishly comply to every concept already established, like Slingshot here. And they have every right to, as we have the right to disagree with them
There's "G1 the 1980s toyline", "G1 the Sunbow cartoon", "G1 the Marvel comics", "G1 the Dreamwave comics", "G1 the IDW comics", "G1 the continuity family", "G1 the Wings Universe", "G1 the 1980s era of the brand" (this one Shockblast2 seems to be focused on the most), "G1 the Classicsverse", "G1 the Evolutions comics", "G1 the Blackthorne comics", "G1 the Regeneration One comics", "G1 the Japanese manga" and so much more. I really do wish we had more diverse terms to refer to all of them than just the confusingly catch-all "G1" and "Generation 1" terms.
