Powerglide is counted as an Aerialbot and his Legends toy will turn into a gun for Superion to wield:shockblast2 wrote:Wow. I was not aware of that usage for Blackjack! That is pretty cool there. So, with that said, I guess the possibility of Groove being a legends for Defensor is quite probable. I wonder why they didn't do the same with Superion? I know that any of the new legends can be used as a gun or weapon, but not actually transforming into part of the gestalt!

To be fair, though, those will be the ONLY limbs available when Prime is released. I doubt there is anything special about that four, it's just that there will be no other choices in the first wave of figures. My guess is that Optimus is meant to combine with any four figures you want (apparently, regardless of allegiance). In fact, it says so right in his on-package bio!

Well I am Australian. It's kinda what we're known for.
The only Megatron toys known to be coming in this line are the two Leader class ones, which aren't combiners.Cobotron wrote:Did somebody say something about a voyager Megatron? That would be sweet!
The only known rumors for this line that we've currently heard about are:Cobotron wrote:How about a Soundwave that combines with the cassettes? Ehh? Ehh?
But seriously,
Did you guys hear the rumor about a DINOBOT COMBINER TEAM?!?!?!

1. A Leader class Ultra Magnus
2. A Titan class Devastator made up of six Voyagers
3. Protectobots and more: Legends Groove, Legends Warpath, Legends "DPT Viper" (whatever that is), Deluxe First Aid, Deluxe "Street" (maybe Streetsmart), Deluxe "BLD" (maybe Blades), and Deluxe Protectobot Rook.

Though, it is not confirmed that any Legends toy can turn into a weapon. That's only confirmed for Powerglide. We know that Thundercracker and Windcharger won't since they're redecos or remolds of existing figures, but nothing's yet known about Bombshell or any other Legends to come.

Time to dig this gem back out from SDCC (thanks, Google!), probably a lot of people haven't seen it or forgotten it. Apparently he'll combine with Alpha Bravo, Fire(flight), Skydive, and what can only be a very lightly colored Blast Off. Note that Blast Off and Alpha Bravo aren't the same as arms.

That looks more like dragstrip, mustard yellow, purple stripes, purple fist (the Stunticons have purple fists and feet whilst the aerialbots have black) only thing off is the wheels or rather lack there off.
No need to ponder about this, it's in back of his box. He combines with 3 aerialbots and dragstrip, end of discussion.
william-james88 wrote:So that would also be the case for Predaking, who is also six members.

Except Prime's arm is clearly not a car, you can see a tail fin sticking off the back and it has no wheels. The shape isn't even a little right for Dragstrip, it's more in line with the square-ish body of G1 Blast Off. The side panels look like folded down wings to me (you can see flaps on the back) as well and they're on the back portion just like they would be on a shuttle. The gun on the back of the arm and the hand part also aren't the ones that comes with Dragstrip, notice that Alpha Bravo's hand is faithfully reproduced from the figure. As far as color goes I think it's entirely possible that they changed them to Dragstrip's when they realized it was much too early to reveal a third team and Dragstrip just happened to be the fourth figure of the first wave. When the other three limbs are so accurate to the figures how could the mess up Dragstrip so badly? Answer: It's not Dragstrip.

From what source?Cobotron wrote:The dinobot thing is a real rumor.
Huffer's artwork is based on the previous Reveal the Shield Legends Optimus Prime toy instead of the Generations Legends Optimus that the actual Huffer toy is a remold of. Oops.

- Ultra Magnus
- Nemesis Prime
- Motormaster
- Huffer
At least the last two are retools.![]()
Blackjack is a must-get, I love Micromaster homages.

I realized something about this line that may be a smart move on Hasbro. Of course, they are claiming to older fans with this amazing G1 combiner homage. But also, by making it combiners, the incentive to buy these toys at full retail is increased. Waiting for toys to be discounted is something many older fans do (myself included). Add to that the fact that not all of us buy everything from a given line. I usually buy 2 out of the 4 of every generations wave due to a want to limit mold duplication in my collection. But now, with the fact that these are all pieces of a bigger puzzle (the legends class included), I would be buying the entire wave and probably at full retail price since I fear that waiting for a discount is a risk of not getting the whole set. A pretty smart move on Hasbro's behalf. So not only will I be giving Hasbro more money than ever next year with this line, but I will also be really happy of not having to pay a bigger sum for the Third Party combiners, and of actually owning some awesome Transformer Combiners. This Combiner Wars event is a real win win for Hasbro and fans, hats off to them.
RiddlerJ wrote:It's a shame the partners are no longer included with the Legends. They weren't great but it was still an extra toy and character (Reflector finally returns).
They could've redecoed the existing ones to get a little more mileage out of them. I wouldn't have minded.
Thundercracker with BW Buzzsaw (Waspinator redeco)
Huffer with Moonrock (Roller redeco)
Bombshell with Needler (Chop Shop redeco)
Powerglide with Phaser (Payload redeco)
Windcharger with Groundpounder (Groundbuster redeco)
Blackjack with Treadshot (Reflector redeco)
