Huffer's artwork is based on the previous Reveal the Shield Legends Optimus Prime toy instead of the Generations Legends Optimus that the actual Huffer toy is a remold of. Oops.

In regards to the Ultra Prime illustration, I think it's important not to take the art for verbatim. If you look over 30 years of box art you will find a lot of inconsistencies through "artist's interpretation". (This, coming from a guy who just tried to start a rumor )

I think this mold almost makes a better Huffer than a Prime. He fits right into the classics line up. I'm so glad they are finally doing the mini's. Pipes is a no brainer.

Occam's razor is the idea that the hypothesis with the less assumptions is the correct one. There is a hypothesis that both the earth and the sun are the center of the galaxy. But the hypothesis regarding the sun being at the center has far less assumptions than the hypothesis about the earth being at the center.

Now, Optimus' arm being Dragstrip in the drawing has less assumptions than it being blast off. His arm being blast off assumes that there will be a blast off figure in that color scheme released, while there is no assumption to be made that dragstrip will be released, we already know he is.

Hence, there are less assumptions that Optimus is made up of those wave one figures than the yet to be revealed wave two figures. Occam's razor is the hypothesis with the least assumptions, and thus that Optimus drawing being of his combined form with the same transformers he is seen combined with on the back of his very own box is Occam's razor in this particular case.

However, Combiner Wars is *directly* linked (multimedia cross-release) to the IDW exRID and next Windblade comics, and there has been no mention of Bruticus yet.

I dont think looking at the 5 original "gestalts" is the right way to look for waht they will do. Also, the word gestalt gets thrown around but it wasn't used back in the G1 days.
I believe the best thing to look at are teh Scramble City combiners because this is what Hasbro is doing with the 2 confirmed releases of Combiner Wars so far. They are not releasing Devastator within this line (as the rumour has it) because he was not part of the Scramble City line or type of combiner (he had 6 robots of the same size forming one bigger robot which is different).

Good news to you though, Bruticus was a Scramble City combiner, which means he is on the shortlist I have copy pasted below:

Autobots: Aerialbots (Superion), Protectobots (Defensor), Technobots (Computron)
Decepticons: Stunticons (Menasor), Combaticons (Bruticus), Terrorcons (Abominus)

What I really meant for with this post was to show you what logic would work best to show that Bruticus has a chance of appearing. I still think it would be odd to see another Bruticus release (with a generations Bruticus already available in a bunch of different releases and decos, a PPC Bruticus-like figure also available, and a magnificent Universe Onslaught figure (we will have so many Onslaughts now)).

But then again, they just amde a pretty faithful Abominus in the Prime line, so it really could go either way between Bruticus and Abominus. And with all the evidence of it being Defensor for the autobots, I am still really hoping for Computron.

Also I forgot the new wingblade series that will probably allow for some other gesalt.
