As for stability, I'll probably be able to make do by improvising on how I pose Menasor. He'll be strictly for display in an enclosed glass shelf--I can lean him against the glass a little for support if necessary.
Oh to be clear, Menasor/Ultra Prime is stable - he just isn't as easy to pose as Superion is. On Optimus Prime, hip joints are really tight in the "roll" axis, and in the standard bow-legged position, they don't point truly downwards - the click joints either click around 5 degrees too wide or too narrow. The waist panels that fold onto the waist joint also aren't that easy to peg in and lock.
He's stable enough standing straight, but posing him, with the hip's click joints, can be really annoying if you try to bring the thighs up ("pitch" on the waist joint), with the waist panels possibly coming loose. Nowhere near Generations Blitzwing's shoulder bug, but nowhere as tight as the rest of the figure.
The videos seem to say Motormaster's better at the hip joints, though.
I'd have preferred that Optimus' thighs split by using two levers quite like Combiner Wars Megatron's backpack; it would keep the straightness of the legs.
