I totally agree with that, he works far better as an arm. I found Blades to work really well as a leg actually. While he might be thin, he offers a cool knee pad.
He works fairly well - my a/b notwithstanding - which is one of the reasons the aerialbots work. they all have a similar footprint, in that, their base (where the hand/foot plugs in) is a square. Visually this works in tandem with superions thigh's and built torso to really draw everything together.
This also works with the stunticons on galvatronus; with neck brace and dead end as symmertical arms with the wide sleeves and thin biceps, and dragstrip and axe-murderer as legs that offer similar dimensions as any two of the aerialbots.
While I don't have a problem with the a/b mold necessarily, I don't like it when there is nothing similar (dimension-wise) to pair it with. Rook is massive, streetwise is super wide, using firstaid would require using streetwise as a hideous leg. This is the reason why I love the use of the qs mold for bruticus (while not necessarily the head, I like it for him) b/c the
arm modes look in proportion with one another. I've already planned on giving defensor prowl, sky reign will get hound and blades can chill with a/b in their sexy alt modes
