Yeah, I am inclined to agree actually. Whilst I do love digibashing, I do have the occasional pang of guilt where I look at myself and think "am I any better than Hasbro? Why do I cry out for less useless repaints whilst producing ideas for them myself?" Though personally I'd rather see those repaints rather than some of the repaints we got. (I'm looking at you, Wheeljack and Smokescreen...)
TL;DR: Less useless crap like the entire 1984 Autobot cast as combiner limbs, more original stuff/unexpected homages. Or you know, some original molds now and again would be nice.
I'm not actually sure if I'm going to do Trailbreaker into Strongarm. It's either that or I get the RID mold and upgrade it heavily with Shapeways parts/kitbashing.

There was a fix for Brawl where the legs are popped off at the hips and the pelvis is reversed in all modes. The question arose whether this would hinder the other modes of Brawl. Here are some comparison pics in all modes. The left side is the "fix." The right side is the original assembly.
As you can see, there are really no negatives to the functions in each mode. There really is only a couple of cosmetic differences. I haven't decided which direction I am going to keep Brawl...

Also, I have some pics that I will post tomorrow of Defensor. Cheers!

No dis-assembly via screws or pins needed for this mod. Just pop the legs off at the waist ball joint, swivel the waist around 180 degrees, and pop the legs back on. It's a very simple fix, doesn't hinder any mode that I saw, and is easily reversible, if desired. Let me see if I can find that YouTube vid and re-post it here for ya....yeah, here it is!LOST Cybertronian wrote:Here is a quick video for a fix to CW Brawl's waist. This wasn't super easy, but it was more stable than I expected. I took these pics before I had United Warriors Groove in hand, so no replacement arm, sorry. (I should've popped in Prowl, now that I think about it...)
You may be able to see from those last two pics, but the way the mod works is to use the long gun posts in Hot Spot (because you have to) and point the short posts in toward the center. Then, twist Blades's fists around to cover the short posts. I'm pretty sure my Blades is as stable as he is because of the tight shoulders. If you Blades has loose joints, then this may not work.

But you're forgetting that the combined mode has the cut-outs facing towards you, and since the wings don't have to be extended, it lends it a cool effect with the blue sub-layer showing through in between the cut-outs
