Still it's not as weird as the size (not to mention thematic) discrepancy of Blast-Off as a Space Shuttle...

It bugs me with some more than others. Combiners for example.

But with some Transformers I would lean right into the whole Mass-Shifting thing if I were Hasbro. Like with Soundwave, I would have every large-scale Soundwave fig come with a little Boombox (either static or maybe even a Minicon version of Soundwave that can transform) to help sell the fantasy.

A Decepticon Spy/Spymaster that can take the form of a stereo and then transform into a giant robot that can eject giant transforming cassettes is so ridiculous it's awesome...or so awesome it's ridiculous :-P

Fenrir72 gave us the tip for Devy and we found the rest on Robot Kingdom's facebook page. It seems all of these sticker sheets are predominantly for the Asian market, as the previous ones were. Robot Kingdom will be including the Wave 3 and 4 sheets depending on the amount spent on an order of Generations figures and the Devastator decals appear to be only released for Taiwan as is explained on the snakas blog.

Here are the images of these stickers as well as how they look like applied on Devastator. However, please note that the panel lining technique is used on those images and thus simply applying the stickers may not yield the same overall look.

Just wanted to say that I totally missed this news story last summer. Just ordered a pair of stickers earlier this morning! Can't wait! I'll do Unite Warriors Devastator once I get these stickers to spice up Combiner Wars Devastator.

Here are the ones I ordered on eBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/HASBRO-TRANSFOR ... Sw4SlV8AAj

Scale means nothing, the whole point is to have fun and replicate what we saw on the screen. That's the idea behind these shows being toy commercials. I am sold, give me those toys!

You guys do whatever, lets just see how much the UW set sells for online in 3 years compared to a complete set of Hasbro's retail Bruticus with Blastoff as a jet.

I agree with your statement unless ... Hasbro releases deluxe Groove and Blast Off in Titans Return. Then it won't be worth much 3 years from now versus a Hasbro "set".

I know so I edited to precise that I am only referring to the price of UW set compared to a hasbro set containing the jet version of blastoff.

Scale means nothing (To you).

I may well be in the minority here (which would not bother me in the slightest) but I appreciated Hasbro replacing Groove with Rook and updating the Constructicons to resemble larger-scale construction vehicles. Making Blast-Off an Aerialbot repaint was lazy, sure, but I appreciate that he is at least a military vehicle now, and being based on a Harrier Jump Jet the name Blast-Off still makes some sense.

None of it is perfect, but I do appreciate the effort.

Right there with you, it'd bother me greatly if I saw a motorcylce the size of an suv chillin' with the rest of my :BOT: 's

As for scale, just gonna leave this here from the TR thread:

The ultimate form of mass-shifting; the transformers' middle finger to logic has reached it's final form

I didn't really think of that angle, I just figured it was a base that turned into a boombox the size of a building for massive block parties at their new base modes, but this is actually really f'ing funny, I wonder if it'll shrink enough for the headmaster to use it himself

I like my motorcycles to be Legends class, my cars to be deluxe, and my jets to be voyager. As for Leader and Titan, just special consideration for larger type vehicles and such. But that's the dream world. In reality if things look good in bot mode together I'll display them that way. If I display in vehicle mode(which isn't all that often) I'll try to scale them in a way that makes sense in the real world. :KREMZEEK:

I liked the suggestion to include a mini boombox with say Soundwave or Blaster. I don't actually have any of those bots though, unfortunately. Soundwave was my favorite as a kid, but I never acquired a G1 version, just the WFC/FOC incarnations so the boombox scale hasn't been an issue yet.

I also don't have any bots that take those forms (Yet... I'm looking at you Titans Return Soundwave)and call me crazy but I have a easier time rationalizing bots shrinking down to be able to spy/hide than say Blast-Off for example, shrinking down to join the Combaticons in forming Bruticus when he would have been bigger than Bruticus all by himself.

(Now I'm imagining Blast-Off grumbling that he could Bruticus better then Bruticus if someone gave him the chance :-P )

But none of these things are really problems for me, I just appreciate when Hasbro goes out of their way to address an obvious scale issue like with Groove/Rook.

I get what you mean. Blast Off shrinking down to an arm for Bruticus is a weird half measure when he'd be as big or bigger on his own. All in all, I'm not sure if a fully true to scale line of Transformers would be better or simply less exciting. Tough call.

I hate to tell everyone but scale and Transformers just don't work well together, especially when it comes to alt modes. After 30+ years of collecting, I have this to say to everyone: just deal with it. G1 Devastator didn't scale with G1 Optimus Prime. This is where IMAGINATION comes into play. It worked well for me as a child, it works well for my 6 (almost 7) year old daughter, it seems to work well for my 1 year old daughter playing with her barn that Santa brought her along with the various animals that came with it, and it seems to continue to work well with me when I photograph various Transformers toys that MAY or MAY NOT be in scale with each other.

The point is: THESE ARE TOYS. Use your imagination my friends!!! Just have fun with them. Not everything needs to scale with each other. I don't know why toy collectors obsess so much about "scale". It's absurd. In my daughter's world, Shopkins, Barbie, My Little Ponies, Disney Princesses, Toy Story toys, Letter People, Rescue Bots, and stuffed animals all coexist in the same world, I don't understand why Transformers of various sizes can't also exist in the same world without frustration and disruption.

I think we can talk about scale without obsessing. I know it's probably done to death, but it's just one of those things that will always come up. Personally I have no perfect unified scale represented on any of my 9 shelves and I'm fine with that.

Well at the rate they're cranking 'em out, you could have the entire series in legends scale :-P

Seriously we have:

Megs
O/p
Starscream
Thundercracker
Skywarp
Acidstorm
Shockwave
Warpath
Cliffjumper
'Bee
Gears
Tailgate
Windcharger
Shrapnel
Chopshop
Bombshell
Cosmos
Huffer
Pipes
Powerglide
Hot Rodimus
Swerve

I think we get bogged down in the lackluster repaints of Pipes and Warpath to realize this fact, but a couple more waves of legends releases and we could have most of the first year/two years worth of figures

Well at the rate they're cranking 'em out, you could have the entire series in legends scale :-P

Seriously we have:

Megs
O/p
Starscream
Thundercracker
Skywarp
Acidstorm
Shockwave
Warpath
Cliffjumper
'Bee
Gears
Tailgate
Windcharger
Shrapnel
Chopshop
Bombshell
Cosmos
Huffer
Pipes
Powerglide
Hot Rodimus
Swerve

I think we get bogged down in the lackluster repaints of Pipes and Warpath to realize this fact, but a couple more waves of legends releases and we could have most of the first year/two years worth of figures

I adore Legends class figs. Swerve has been my fav for awhile, but lately I've take a shine to Tailgate. And to think I thought I wasn't going to like him because I wasn't overly fond of Windcharger. It was an after thought add-on item on an amazon order for just a few bucks. Really got my money's worth on that one.
