Joking aside, its just an algorythm running so the price will constantly luctuate as long as there are a lot of buyers and product. People cancel their orders or more stock comes in and the flux continues.

So, just got Victorion in the mail. I had fully intended on passing. Nothing about it interested me. Some of you may remember me hating on it a little bit. But I couldn't ignore a full combiner team for under 50 bucks, could I. Funny how price affects some things, because I actually like the set once got it out of the packaging.

I haven't combined them yet, but I'm digging the team. I think I like vehicle modes better than bot modes so far. Did they change some things on the cars? They look different to me. Could just be the paint throwing me off, or the fact that I haven't had Breakdown or Dead End in vehicle modes for ages. Gotta love a red firetruck as well. And while I like the arm fins, the Brava sisters are a bit gappy around the arms in copter mode. Didn't seem as noticeable in the missile versions of the mold. All that black on the motorcycle really looks nice, wish some of the others had black integrated into the scheme. I could probably stand the green a little better then.

My initial impression is that the feet are much higher quality that Computron's. I guess we'll see how it holds up once I put it all together.


I'm going to have to start retiring some figures soon if I want to have room for Titans Return stuff...


Breaking news! I just discovered a fourth mode for Rust Dust. It's not the gun mode people have been wanting, though. It's better.

Combined mode really shines. I have a few small gripes, but I really didn't think I'd like this set as much as I do. The feet are great, the ankle tilt is obviously awesome but the toe joint really adds a lot.




If you can still get this for around 40 bucks, just go for it. Definitely worth it.

The more I think about that Demolishor head for Onslaught the more I wonder what the Combiner head would be.

You can see it still uses the Bruticus head. But I wonder what they would call the combined for and who he'd combine with? Maybe Starscream (from Grand Galvatron), Thrust (from Grand Galvatron), Cyclonus (Alpha Bravo with a new head), and Sideways (Groove with a new head)?

I could see people getting rid of them in favor of 3rd party stuff. I'm almost tempted because I don't like his feet at all. I'd have to have upgrades for almost all my other combiners first to justify doing so, though.

Quick question: Can Afterbreaker(/burner) carry Computron's combiner kibble in robot mode, or just in vehicle mode?

I haven't tried it, but if he can I imagine it probably looks pretty silly. I kinda doubt it though since his legs do a 180 for the transform. Dunno where else they'd be able to store. Could possibly plug one into his windscreen port.

I was messing around trying to make Rust Dust into a handheld shield, but it was too small. Then it dawned on my to use that method to make her into the blaster everyone's been wanting. You basically half transform her from motorcycle mode and plug the wrist pegs into each side of Victorion's hand.

Her hand will be sideways, but it's obscured enough to look like she's holding it regular style. Haven't tried with all the limbs yet, I suspect there will be clearance issues, but it works the the Breakdown mold if you flip its foot down.





I think it works well enough as an approximation of this gun, which I believe is actually Rust Dust as well. It ain't perfect but you have a peg and port to work with as you see fit.




Oh yeah, and that's 5 modes for Rust Dust so far if you include the chair

That's actually pretty brilliant! Problem is though, Vicky looks awful without Rust Dust on the chest. Maybe if Perfect Effect came out with a chest-plate set for her, that could work.

May 2017 is a long way away, so you never know. I'd hope that Hasbro *might* release a Shuttle Blast Off & Ratchet, for the fans that aren't getting the UW, but again its a gamble.

I personally consider UW Computorn to be 100% exclusive, seeing as how Scattershot has newly molded portions. The only difference with Afterburner aside from color is the color of the windshield, but because that is a different piece of translucent plastic, and not just color paint, I'm considering it different. IN my perfected mold use CW/UW army --CW Computron will be "Betatron" and UW will be Computron.

Hate to burst some bubbles, but hasbro specifically gave ratchets parts to funpub because they had no intention of using it. All evidence points towards the fact that it isn't going to be happening

What three molds? Groove's the only Takara-original mold. The headsculpts of Quickslinger and Brake-Neck were more than like Hasbro-initiated pretools, as the first images we saw of UW Sling had his head already complete rather than still in the test shot stage (like Groove was), and UW Sling and Wildrider weren't given any of the special advertisement treatment that Groove and Blast Off were given, and Hasbro's releases of the two came out before either of Takara's releases.
