#2. What's wrong with the crown?
The Starscream in the comics is currently the ruler of Cybertron (a title he was given by popular vote, no less), so he's earned his crown.phantom1592 wrote:#2 Like I said, the crown to me is a nod to the 30 seconds or so that Starscream acted like a pretentious moron claiming leadership and getting squashed like a bug.
Admittedly, Starscream IS a pretentious moron who's arrogance has always been his downfall... not saying the crown was out of character. But out of all the autobot OR decepticon leaders the only one I can think of went so far as 'crown' himself would be grimlock... and that's not really the intelligence level you want to be compared to
Starscream was a cool design, 2nd in command of the bad guys and first in the field most of the time. He did a LOT of cool things over the years... but that crown is beacon to his most embarrassing moment (even by 80's standards).
The constant insistence to pigeonhole him in that one moment doesn't impress me. Maybe they've done more with the comic.... I don't read it, I don't know. I just hope they are forever removable

And the G1 cartoon Starscream wasn't the only one to crown himself, for there was another Starscream's whose ambitions successfully seized for himself the powers of a god:

He's like the Transformers' version of Jughead, except Starscream is infinitely more likeable and interesting.

Still, apparently the height and style isn't THAT far from MP... and it's a lot cheaper. (also may be nice to have a bit of difference between Thundercracker and Starscream....
But I just don't know...
REALLY dislike seeing Starscream with a crown... Is that something that was brought back for the comic? or is it still dredging that up from the 30 seconds he wore it in the movie?

If you dont like Crowned Starscreams, I am afraid this might not be your year because not only are we getting this Leader Starscream but this is finally the year Hasbro releases MP11 for the west, probably with crown and all. So yeah, 2 MP scale crowned starscreams the same year.

Why is that so hard Phantom1592?
Just wondering what the basis for this speculation. I thought we had a computer listing of MP SS that was the same price as Acid Storm? I have my doubts that SS will have the coronation gear.william-james88 wrote:....but this is finally the year Hasbro releases MP11 for the west, probably with crown and all. Lets not trouble the guy too much with this, he said why he didnt like it already. He knows he can remove the crown and he is fine with that, he was just speaking his piece on how he doesnt see it as a necessary accessory to be tied to. And I do understand him in a way. It's like if FOC grimlock came with an apron. Sure, its a fun G1 homage but it doesnt need to now become part of the character's design.

Say that 3 times fast.
Is that really his title? I would assume self given?
That Bot wrote:Extremely self-given. I think his official title is "President".
