The limb Dinobots strike me as too thin or lanky, or whatever, a problem I have with a lot of the Combiner Wars molds, particularly with the legs and/or crotch area (please don't take that out of context!). It works for some characters like Alpha Bravo, but Swoop looks like he's a wimp. I want bulky Dinobots or cartoon accurate Dinobots. I'm hoping that what rumors have for Studio Series 86 will be up my alley.

That's fair, I guess I just like them being combiners cuz combiners are the best thing ever to me

Going off of that hint, I'd guess either Hauler (some people will like it once they find out he was an Ark crewmember) or Nacelle (because everyone loves Seekers but he's one of the most obscure, and the unofficial one Selects per mold rule seems to be gone), but who knows at this point.

I think all the credible rumors for Selects have been revealed already, leaving this one a complete mystery.

As of the reveal 2 weeks ago, we have exhausted all the rumors. Ratchet and Lifeline were rumored just before they were revealed, but that's about it. No one saw the Diaclone pack coming last week. And this week will likely be the same.

Also as for Dinobots, I would have preferred they wait until the next trilogy to try them out and put them in the generations line. I probably will pass on any new dinobots, I am happy with both my upgraded Volcanicus and my complete movie set (SS Slug and Strafe when to complete the 4-some?), and would have preferred them be in generations instead of start this SS86 thing because they're finally doing something outside G1 in the main generations line.

Even for Cordon and Spin-Out, there were at least somewhat credible rumblings in the week or two before their reveal. This time, not even a small peep, just guesses.

Yeah, so far every single Selects release announced this year has a had a leak of SOME variety except for this one and Tigertrack. Most of them were in that TRU Canada listings leak, the Spy Patrol with Doubledealer's mates had a leaked listing before that, Sandstorm had a screenshot leak the day of, and Cordon and Spin-Out were mentioned by some leakers just about a week before they were revealed (although the leakers weren't expecting them to be a two-pack, they thought one of them would be in a Galactic Odyssey set once that was revealed to be a thing).

I went to double-check there weren't any more TFW leaks, and right now there's a guy over there talking about Stalker out of nowhere, but they aren't one of the leakers, I'm pretty sure they're just speculating. That's honestly the closest thing we have to a leak currently.

Well ... Deep Cover out of Siege Sideswipe was rumored and never made, right?

I decided to cancel the Diaclone recolor preorders I had. I like Exhaust, but I don't need a Diaclone force when I really think about the things I like. I just got carried away.

MeGrimlock78 wrote:True...since I already had Blue Swoop, I popped the silver arms and legs off, and put them on the red torso. The beak too. Solid as a rock.

O' course, my blue swoop is a floppy mess now, but whatcha gonna do?

That would mean the source of the floppiness is the sockets being too big on the Selects. Nothing that can be done with the wing colors tho... :-?
I heated up the flat headed pins with a soldering iron to take them off and swapped the wings too. I have two of each version and only swapped the colors on one pair. So I have one red and blue Swoop pair in PotP grey and another pair in Selects grey. And yes, both of my Selects Swoops were floppy messes.

I'm not going to quote everyone but I'll add a few other things.

I also don't think the PotP Dinobots really sacrificed all that much to facilitate the combined modes. I mean, the limbs don't do anything weird to turn into a limb as it's just either their dino or robot modes other than maybe Swoops's leg mode. Even then, it's not really doing anything intrusive to attain the leg mode. Their combiner pegs are all in places that aren't needed for anything. You could say Sludge would've benefited from being able to put his head in his chest to allow for dino neck articulation though. Grimlock doesn't do anything weird either and that's why he sucks as a torso. It seems to me that he sacrificed the torso mode to have better dino and robot modes. What more as a stand alone Grimlock could it have done that was actually hampered by the torso mode? The leg transformation could just be based on the FoC version and not because of it being a combiner.

I too love combiners. I want more characters and molds. Slugslinger, Thundercracker, Cosmos, Monstructor, Dinoking, Landcross, Goradora and everybody else. Combiners of everyone has been my main want since I was a kid playing with Streetwise, First Aid and Hot Spot thinking why they couldn't be Prowl, Ratchet and Inferno instead. Now I can do that and I love it! The again, I kinda thought the same with the Micromasters Tote and Fixit being Ironhide and Ratchet.

I do also agree that some of the limb bots robots mode do look a bit awkward but since I love combiners, it doesn't really bother me.

For more Selects figures, do we know for sure why Bugbite isn't using the Bumblebee mold? I was thinking that if they couldn't use it for non-Autobots or non-Bumblebee in specific do to the deal they have with Volkswagon, then I might have a workaround. They could just name them all Bumblebee "something" type. Like Glyph could be Bumblebee cyber archaeologist type. Bugbite could've been Bumblebee universal spy type. Wasp could be Bumblebee attack type and so on. They could also have "bonus" faction sticker sheets so that we can put whatever we wanted on them but officially they'd all be Autobot Bumblebee figures. It's not like BB has to be yellow since we got MP red BB already and VW didn't have a problem. I know it bothers some people not having the actual name on the box but it's not that big a deal as to not go back on the deal. Then they could redo Bugbite using Bumblebee with some added purple and give him a white Hubcap head so we could swap them.

Otherwise though, maybe Lift-Ticket along with the already mentioned Tap-Out? Some other Diaclone decos with names? Black Ironhide, yellow and green Ratchet, blue and yellow Trailbreaker and everyone else. I imagine Road Rage and Loudpedal would be next year when the rumored Tracks is closer to release.

That's not true. Thrust, for instance, has yet to be revealed by Hasbro.

Yeah, but he's not Selects. According to the Conehead two-pack's Amazon description, he's in the main Earthrise numbering, as E-26. So he can't be the Selects reveal.

I would love that. That or a Stalker/CD Red Alert from Doubledealer. We haven't had our leader Selects figure yet this year, so will we get one? Otherwise both Astrotrain and Doubledealer are one-and-dones.

A couple of my guesses:

G2 Blackout
Diaclone Trailbreaker
Flatline
Artfire
Hauler
Shouki/Thunderarrow

Easy pass for me since I don't have any shattered glass in my collection.

Between this and the Takara Volcanicus reveal, my wallet is very pleased, and really deserves a little bit of a break with all the pre-orders that will be hitting between now and February.

Got the pre-order secured, man I am happy with that reveal. I love me some Shattered Glass, and i'll finally get a Ratchet. SG shelf will be MP Prime, ER Prime, Rodimus unicronus, Ricochet, Sideswipe, Cliffjumper, and Ratchet. I'm excited.

I would love me some more SG bones be thrown.

But now, do I cancel my ratchet/Lifeline pre-order? I really don't think I want 2 of the same mold for the same character, even if they aren't really the same character

More than one way to force people to end up with the Ratchet mold :(
the different colored body parts help but then the unsightly colored windshield hinge is back. Probably means we are getting a shattered glass version of Netflix Soundwave as a selects or oddysey at some point.

Unlike the Diaclone pair at least it's a voyager and a deluxe so if retails trying to scalp £50 for it, it might be worth it.

Wonder who or what is getting the cast off trailer from Shattered glass Prime
