No one know for a "when". Could be next week or could be next year.
But one thing is sure, if T-Wrecks was done, there's no reasons why such an easy Cryotek repaint wouldn't be done.

I wonder if history would repeat itself and Hasbro would offer it to Target as an exclusive just like the original.

On the other hand, we did get a new Optimal Optimus, but a Primal Prime redeco of it never happened.-Kanrabat- wrote:Sculyblast wrote:So when can we expect the announcement for the Exclusive legacy Cryotek?

Primal Prime and Burning Convoy seems to be exclusive to Japan while T-Wrecks and Cryotek both gotreleases at the time. So the Hasbro ones are pretty much sure to get repainted. The red ones are for
to make, like all the other "burnings".

Sabrblade wrote:Yeah, Primal Prime was a Hasbro-original toy. Beast Machines didn't exist in Japan yet at the time, and if he had been a Takara-original, there's no way he would have been named "Primal Prime". He'd have been named something with "Convoy" in the name. Takara didn't use the words "Prime" or "Primal" in their Transformers toys' names back then. And his biggest role back then was in 3H BotCon comics, which also never released in Japan.

On the other hand, the original Optimal Optimus never got an all black release, right?
Onyx Primal was the very first evil black Optimus redeco ever.o.supreme wrote:-Kanrabat- wrote:Eh, that was unexpected.

None of the Primal variants did IIRC. Lio Convoy (Copy Convoy) was the very first in a long line of evil copy's in Black. Not sure if Big Convoy got one or not. There wasn't one in the show.

And not even the normal BotCon people who later went on to run the convention annually, but the one-off group Men in Black who only ever ran BotCon 1996 (to disastrous results, even, hence why they were never brought back to run BotCon ever again).-Kanrabat- wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Onyx Primal was the very first evil black Optimus redeco ever.o.supreme wrote:-Kanrabat- wrote:Eh, that was unexpected.

It took BOTCON to do this concept?

And, well, the Onyx Primal toy only happened in the first place because of the bat Optimus Primal toy's preexisting resemblance to Batman.
Ironic, considering how much leftover stock they had for several years after the convention. There was a time where he went for pretty good prices on the aftermarket.-Kanrabat- wrote:Sabrblade wrote:And not even the normal BotCon people who later went on the run the convention annually, but the one-off group Men in Black who only ever ran BotCon 1996 (to disastrous results, even, hence why they were never brought back to run BotCon ever again).-Kanrabat- wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Onyx Primal was the very first evil black Optimus redeco ever.o.supreme wrote:-Kanrabat- wrote:Eh, that was unexpected.

Looks like I'm over 20 years too late to buy it.
Holy crap that price...

You're supposed to use the Walmart app on your phone to check prices. It mostly works, though not always on clearance and new items
Could be. I once found a Prime First Edition Deluxe class Bumblebee at a Walmart, and that was a TRU exclusive.o.supreme wrote:This was truly unexpected. I spotted an actual Legacy Evo toy (Hot Shot) at a Walmart today. I'm inclined to say it was a return of some kind
