Its kind of like Basic Instinct, but not in a good way...
Goddammit, now I can't unsee it.

Bumblebee Movie Studio Series 38 Voyager Optimus Prime.

Looks like the Twitter user who made this collage used the wrong cartoon models for Sandstorm, the ones made by a Russian fan. They're all fuzzy in quality, and the blacks are so dark and washed out you can barely see the windows on the side of the helicopter or the details on the hood of the dune buggy.

We are getting a Voyager Armada Red Alert.noctorro wrote:Canonball, damn shame, I wished they were aiming for Armada Red Alert and not Cybertron Red Alert. I understand because of the recolor stuff but I would've loved an Armada voyager Redalert who isn't horribly deformed.
Because this is Legacy, not the Cyberverse line proper. Legacy keeps G1-ifying everything from stylized lines.noctorro wrote:Chromia, at first I was very excited! Then I realized she doesn't look like the Cyberverse cartoon figure. The head is all wrong, she needs cartoony cute big eyes and lipstick. She just looks like a bland generations figure. Perfect as is, but not that Cyberverse Chromia. C'mon HAsbro you did Cyberverse Arcee perfectly, why not repeat that?

I guess I wanted a screen accurate figure. IIRC on screen he was more charcoal colored with shiny silver front parts.Emerje wrote:Rodimus Prime wrote:Did they forget to paint Silverbolt? Is he really going to be that dull gray all over?
It's slightly silver plastic, but I don't know what you were expecting, he's actually a little more colorful than the original.
Everything about the Maximals' and Predacons' robot parts was shiny in the cartoon.Rodimus Prime wrote:I guess I wanted a screen accurate figure. noctorro wrote:What I'm looking forward to is a new Devastator, will he be deluxe limbs?
Legacy Menasor is a smidge taller than the Combiner Wars Combiners and Siege Jetfire, roughly 12 inches or 1 foot tall. The Titan class Devastator was about 18 inches or 1.5 feet tall.Till-all-R1 wrote:Anyhoo, It would be interesting to see how they mix Deluxe with voyagers to create a larger bot when typically it's been closer to Legends scale Since I don't have breakdown yet I don't know how "big" Menasor is or how it compares to the old Devastator.
At this time, we don't know anything about the torso components. The leak that revealed Scavenger and Bonecrusher to be Deluxes and Scrapper and Mixmaster to be Voyagers didn't mention Hook or Long Haul.Till-all-R1 wrote:In the past two bots formed the chest/torso so how does/will it work out with a Voyager, and which one will it be?
The latter.Till-all-R1 wrote:So does that mean they will just try to Titan this beast or sprinkle it out via the main line over teh course of 2-4 waves?

noctorro wrote:Silverbolt, why? I have the original and always thought of him as perfect. And this 95 years later modern tooling, he looks well the same.

He was supposed to be a fused wolf and eagle, right? I guess I can buy his top half being that color if we're talking a gray wolf, but I think even those are a bit darker. And his legs are supposed to be an eagle's. Do eagles have gray legs?Emerje wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Everything about the Maximals' and Predacons' robot parts was shiny in the cartoon.Rodimus Prime wrote:I guess I wanted a screen accurate figure. Even the Beast Wars Again repaints haven't been that dedicated. As far as his color goes, maybe it was a little darker on the show, but so much of that was set at night and in dark spaces that it's hard to really say for sure. I think it's spot on.
