I'm really hoping that that quote means exactly what it says at face value and has nothing to do with the trailer-skeleton thing. I'd totally be cool with seeing a new Computron or someone where all of the limbs have dedicated spots/engineering for just Computron, as long as the limb bots actually turn into limbs and aren't just glorified hockey pads. Ruination needs Scramble City for accuracy though, so Bruticus needs to keep Scramble City by extension.MaximalNui wrote:Nemesis Primal wrote:-Evan mentioned that Menasor's lack of Scramble City compatibility/limbs being dedicated to just Menasor has been well-received and they are keeping that in mind for future potential combiners
Debatable. VERY debatable.
Personally, I wouldn't mind it for a new continuity's iteration of Menasor, or a whole new combiner team (actually, I would prefer that; we need new characters and combination gimmicks), but sacrificing an already-fun gimmick to be more accurate to a design error really doesn't sit well for me.
And I hope this means they'll start making more non-Scramble City combiners (we need a better Liokaiser, Magnaboss and Rail Racer, among others) instead of replacing all Scramble City for "accuracy". How would this scheme even work for stuff like the Aerialbots, Terrorcons or Seacons? Their leaders have nothing to make into a trailer/base!
As long as new Minicons have pegs on them instead of ports, then Swindle would be able to interact with not just Screamer but also anyone with 5 mm ports, which is probably the way to go at this point. Having that Matrix/Star Saber interactivity would be cool, I hadn't even thought about that.MaximalNui wrote:Nemesis Primal wrote:-Minicons are something they're intending to figure out "once they move more fully into Armada"
I wish they'll make a Swindle compatible with Legacy Starscream, but I kinda expect them not to.
Also hope they bring back the Mini-Con weapon teams; especially if they make a Star Saber that can carry a Matrix in its hilt.
The interview write-up that came from did not specify which kind of Fan Vote.MaximalNui wrote:Nemesis Primal wrote:-Interest in bringing Fan Votes back
...does this mean the old "Make A Character" votes that gave us Windblade and Victorion, or one of the "Choose Which Character We Make Now, And We'll Use The Other Characters Later Anyway" from later years? Because I frankly prefer the first option.
I would argue that Energon Prowl should be at a higher tier than those other two since Energon Prowl was at least a show character, whereas BW and Armada were toy-only.Tuned Agent wrote:5. BW, Armada and Energon Prowls. Too obscure to likely be made before the ones above.

Future retool - TFP Strongarm.
Likewise, the blue redeco of Armada Red Alert was part of an Energon 2-pack, not Universe.Overcracker wrote:Burn wrote:Overcracker wrote:4. Universe 1.0 was a repainted Armada Red Alert, so would be kind of interesting to get a SUV Prowl. But seems a bit too obscure.

Interesting idea. Its R.I.D 2015 though. No Strongarm in Prime.

Tra Gen Legacy EV Deluxe Prowl
Product Number: F7193
EAN: 5010994202286
Can't be since it's a deluxe. He'd have to be Voyager-sized and they'd have to bring out a new figure for Hook to make him a leg for Devastator. Not saying it won't ever happen, but it's clearly not in Hasbro's cards, currently.
My guess is it's a re-release of the ER toy, maybe with a better head sculpt. I think they'd specify if it was Beasties Prowl, RiD, Energon, or Animated.
Still waiting on an Earth mode Hound, Hasbro.
I know those ER sets were rare, hence SS86 Ironhide and this Ramjet rerelease, I just don't want Hasbro to turn around and make a brand new Datsun mold again because of it, and I personally am vastly more excited by the possibility of Animated Prowl than I ever would be for any sort of G1 Prowl. If G1 Prowl needs an additional release, I posit that it should either be a straight rerelease or a repaint/new head retool in SS86/Buzzworthy.sol magnus wrote:Nemesis Primal wrote:My thoughts:

I got much to agree with here, but I do want to point out that the Ironhide/Prowl pack is also rare, meaning many people don;t have an Earth mode Prowl in their collections, even if I would have liked to see Hound get a go first.
Emerje wrote:Sowndwave76 wrote:Interesting that this Ramjet has black biceps…
I don’t get why they’re doing that.
Also, I noticed the clear canopy… It looks fine, but seeing it, I don’t know if I like it better than the orange tinted one of the ER version.
Uh, that's just the CG stock photo of the ER figure.
I actually would like to see them do Legacy Ramjet with a smoky tinted canopy like the G1 figure if they could make just one change.

Probably because both it and a few other Armada-redecoed non-show Energon exclusives just had that similar look and feel to the Universe toys. They may have been Energon toys, but they sure felt like they belonged with Universe.Overcracker wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Likewise, the blue redeco of Armada Red Alert was part of an Energon 2-pack, not Universe.Overcracker wrote:Burn wrote:Overcracker wrote:4.
