Transformers Legacy Line Discussion

So... I'm curious, has anyone found any Legacy Evolution Core, or Deluxe in any sort of regularity so far, at B&M?
I mean I'm pretty much ordering everything online at this point, as I have no idea what's going on with B&M Distribution. They Voyagers are pretty plentifully stocked at all the Targets in my area. I've seen plenty of BOTH waves (Tarn/Leo Prime as well as Twincast/Metalhawk), and even with a good amount of product they are selling well.
But with core's, I've seen a single Slug, single Bomb-Burst, single Nemesis Prime...and that's it, never anything that looks like a full case was even received. Same for Deluxe. A couple of Walmart's near me FINALLY just got the 3rd wave from last years Evolution, but other than a single Needlenose at Tarhet, and a single HotShot at Walmart, I've seen nothing at B&M for core or deluxe deluxe in 2023.
I've not seen any Leaders either but I figure that's to be expected, every Walmart in my area still has plenty of Galvatron & Blitzwing. Target seems to have stopped carrying Generations Leaders, they only have SS and Buzzworthy.

I don't follow. Selects is a line of redecos and retools only, neither of which is the case for Commander class Armada Optimus Prime.Nemesis Destron wrote:Star Convoy was a part of the Selects line so why does anyone suppose why Armada Prime wasn't a part of it? Generations Selects has never done original moulds like Armada Prime, only ever repaints and retools. Not to mention Armada Prime is a Commander Class, a big ticket item that's meant to be one of the centre-pieces of the Legacy toyline, it would be silly to put him in a line of niche repaints, or at least the first use of the mould. Nemesis Prime or the Powerlinx colours would be a better fit for a line like Selects.

I don't buy at B&M, but the local Walmarts and the local Target have stocked all size classes. I don't know if it's my region or any other reason, but they're usually a wave behind of what I get from online. If you're only seeing one figure from a wave, then that probably means they're selling through their cases, not that there's a distribution issue.

I've had no real issues with finding Core figures at Target, I've seen multiples of all of Evolution wave 1 and 2 except for Grimlock, still haven't found him. I'm buying Cores from Target as long as they remain $10.
Walmart, on the other hand, just packed their shelves with Legacy wave 1 yet again so I won't be seeing anything new there for a while and they completely dropped SS Core figures.

I think he was mistaken thinking that this CC Armada Optimus is the same as the grey prototype shown a few years back. Just for clarification, they are NOT the same.

I've seen a couple of Bomb-bursts and 1 Slag, but no Nemesis Prime.
My Wal-Mart did restock the Velocitron deluxes this week, but of course Cosmos was gone by the time I got there. Maybe it was a long-forgotten case in the backroom they stumbled on.

Yeah, now that Armada Prime is the one I was hoping for/expecting and wanting to go up agasint Super Megatron in my collection. What I was talking about wanting just the cab-bot of earlier. I was a bit disappointed when I saw the one we got, since that was what I wanted. But I understand I am a very niche case.

I'd really like to know just how far they got with that. I can't imagine they showed it knowing for sure that it would never be made, just as a possibility (like Star Convoy) and continued to work on it further. I'm guessing it was someone at Hasbro that realized Armada Prime could be sold at retail world wide and got the project halted completely while they waited for a spot for it, they wouldn't have had the same expectation of Star Convoy. That said, I think Hasbro probably has a Commander Star Convoy planned for the future, but not before Energon Prime, they seem to be aiming to get all the major Primes and leaders produced as new figures.

As a heavy retool of SS86 Blurr, it works. Maybe if I find it on sale.

A couple of weeks ago I found Wild Rider and the next day I found Dragstrip and Breakdown at another store. So that made me have to hunt for MM next and I did at a fare price on eBay but our wonder California state tax knocked the price into the $200 mark.
I doubt I'll find MM on the shelves somewhere but if I do I may go mental for a moment. Did anyone else decide to pay "now" prices before they get higher for Motormaster or thinking about it perhaps?

Man, Devcon looks bad. but I thought is character model sucked too, this guy has actually never looked appealing.
I just sold my Legacy Menasor for $200 funny enough.

Agreed. I didn't recognise the name initially. So Wiki-to-the-rescue and I was left really underwhelmed. There is a reason, traditionally, Blurr's mould doesn't have many retools - It ain't great. This Devcon doesn't exactly reinvent the wheel in that regard, either.

Devcon had something of a cult following in the early fandom. Many found the concept of a "bounty hunter Autobot" really appealing. Of course, this was also around the time that Boba Fett was at the height of his own popularity...
Anyway, this cult following is also why 3H tried twice (and failed twice) to give him a new toy for BotCon, and why they used him in the Wreckers comic series with the body of their first toy proposal.

He didn't finally get a toy until BotCon 2014, when Fun Pub finally made the dreams of many a G1 fan a reality.

For many, this new, G1-accurate Devcon toy made by Hasbro proper has been a long time coming.

Now I really like the Vehicon Mirage (albeit, minus the clear plastic balljoint that connects his legs to his torso) but that Scourge design was horrible. Collecting my universe Cyclonus. I had to buy the (Platinum) boxset that Scourge (and Sweeps) came in. Suffice to say, I still have the Cyclonus. But sold the Scourge's. The Scourge altmode doesn't need "adapting" or modernising. Because that design isn't based on anything real.
