Transformers Legacy Line Discussion
Re: Transformers Legacy Line Discussion
In five years of Commander class, we've only had a single repaint to date. We certainly could see more later, but I think they're far from guaranteed, and I wouldn't bet on any of them.

Yeah I don't think CC reuse is necessary when the developers are working on CC, but anything is possible.
SG Skylynx
Golden Primus, SG Rodimus ( or Rodimus Unicronus)
G2 Motor Master
The Armada Prime variant released later with Corona Sparkplug.
Nemesis Prime in Armada was just the cab itself. I suppose they could release that as a separate Voyager?

Right now, due to the discovery of a toy-accurate redeco of Breakdown with a new head, there's speculation of a toy-accurate redeco of Menasor coming, possibly as a giftset something like SDCC or whatever. However, this is still to be taken as a grain of salt since it didn't come from any of the usual leakers and only a single specimen of Breakdown (which could alternately be just a pretty good fan custom) has been found so far.

Personally, I believe it's just breakdown's G2 treatment, which is special since he was the only original released G2 stunticon. So his origins are toy based. But I could be wrong, I wonder if they'll retool Menasor knees to be reversed for cars facing forward

I got Skyquake today, and he's a lot better than I thought he'd be. He's everything I like in a Leader class figure, a good height, a fairly complex transformation, and looks lovely in both modes. He's definitely a big improvement over Bulkhead, Arcee and Knock Out. at the moment though I'm still undecided on whether or not I'll get Dreadwing because of shelf space, my Multiverse Decepticon shelf is getting close to full, but we'll see

In case anyone was wondering how Prowl looks with the Animated toys:

I also found Twincast this week. I am slowly but surely finding all of this wave in stores, and now only need 3 deluxes and the cores. I was going to skip Crosscut, but my diaclone shelf made me realize I need this one for that shelf, as my T30 one is on the Lost Light shelf.
As for Twincast, he is neat. He has a nice shiny paint job, and he and Rewind look cool. Not really much to say besides that, but he's what he needed to be.

Maybe the original voyager Bulkhead was ahead of his time, preparing for the modern day when he would be joined by 2023 scale animated figures

Not extending the silver paint to the entire chest is the kind of weirdness I would expect from Hasbro. Also weird that they're going for toy accuracy for the head, but not the face. I'm not sure where they would do it as an event exclusive, they've already announced the War Dawn two pack as the SDCC exclusive and they haven't more than one big exclusive there in a while. They haven't done a NYCC exclusive in a while either. Maybe PulseCon? I could see that.

That's not a "rumor" at all. Just a single user's wish. Because most likely, many parts of the trailer / super bot are gang-molded with the main Prime. So a repaint that would only have half the set makes no senses.
As for a Nemesis Armada Optimus, I call that it's very likely because Optimus Prime is always an easy repaint.
Still, I'd love to see a "Nemesis Skylynx" before that.
Am I that single user? Hehe, he was quoting my post.

Yeah, seems so. Sometimes we misremember things and think that small things are way bigger than we thoughts. And vice-versa.
Also, if they make a repaint of the lonely Armada Prime cab from the Commander set, I can have a lonely Sky repaint from the Commander Skylinx.
Or a lonely Motormaster cab without the combiner trailer.
Or a Rodimus with no trailer.
Or a Jetfire without his legs.

It's only been a few years since Rodimus Unicronus in PotP. I think we're overestimating how often Hasbro gives us the same very uncommon redecoes. And at any rate, if we're going to get another Black Rodimus, it needs to be this one.

I managed to get my pre-order in for Armada Prime, the estimated delivery date is currently 31st July, and I'm looking forward to having him! Between him, the already pre-ordered Megatron and Dirge, the Nemesis, Studio Series 86 Ratchet and that AOE Grimlock re-issue that's coming, I have a lot of bots to look forward to in the coming months.

Star Convoy was a part of the Selects line so why does anyone suppose why Armada Prime wasn't a part of it? It would have made total sense to me so if this was mention why before I ditched class that day.
