Hero Alpha wrote:They do both look amazing. I pre-ordered Megatron, but not Optimus as I only want the cab/bot. Prolly no chance theys gonna release just it. But I am hoping they will as Nemesis, that I will buy. If its jus the cab.
Also about the Shrapnel guns; I dont see any difference in left or right.

Pretty sure they said the plastic color would be closer to the dark purple used on the test sample. The paint present, like the lavender panels, are probably going to stick all the way through.

I don't know why you'd want just the cab when that trailer actually do something relevant contrary to Rodimus Prime. Especially because that super mode is freakishly awesome and iconic and it give Prime a fighting chance against Megatron.

I just dont care for the look of his super mode. Ever since I saw the prototype of this Optimus I was excited to use it as my main G1 Prime in a new body. To go against Super Megatron. Or at the very least, use it as my Nemesis, if theys ever release one. I really liked Armada as a whole, just not so much the look of his super mode. But the base Optimus is one of my fav looks for him, along with G2 lazer Prime. I do like the new G2 Prime, but its just barely not good enough to replace Earthrise one as my Prime. Now if it had bulkier arms, shoulder/missle-pod rotation and maybe better legs, yes.
I would not be buying Armada Prime as Armada Prime. Just like Im buying Armada Megatron to be used as Helex(since prolly never make him), or someone, cause I just really love that design, just not as my Megatron. So I have no need for Prime's super mode.(my collection is as a head-canon 4th season of Sunbow G1[with a tiny bit of IDW and Marvel jammed in]). Now as far as I remember Armada Nemesis Prime never used the super mode, correct? I am not sure if they do release just the cab as Nemesis, if it would even fit in a voyager or leader price point, or something in between.

I just dont know if the mainline release will be the animated series Purple, or the Toy Green (whichever is mainline, there will probably be a selects release of the other). I have a strong feeling Armada Jetfire will also be a leader for 2024. Not sure how they would do Overload though (since there are only 2 or 3 new Leader Class per year now, not sure if they would develop 2 of them just for Armada Prime, they usually are more diverse about character choice) So either we'll have to play the long game and wait until 2025 to complete Armada Prime's Ultimate mode, or they may release Overload as some sort of Pulse Exclusive?

I'm sure they'd go Takara / cartoon colors for a Commander class figure, but a SSGE Titan should be Hasbro colors.
I think Overload would have to be a Leader to be done properly, he has to have a Minicon by default and needs some proper bulk to him that I don't think they can do at Voyager at all unless they made him a "tall Deluxe' in Voyager packaging and dumped the Minicon in favor of a small truck with a head that pops out and no bot mode. But I think he'd have to be smaller than Blaster.

AllNewSuperRobot wrote:I still think Tidal Wave needs to be a Titan. I always saw him as the UT equivalent to Trypticon (mostly based on the game, obviously). But I think it would be fitting if he scaled with Omega Supreme. Of course, that also makes his "combining" with Megatron ..problematic? Although it could amusingly leave Megs looking like Alien's Ripley in the Work Loader
As for Overload/Ultra Magnus, I think that needs to be Commander Class. If not a direct size equivalent to G1 Magnus. He is a big, chunky bot. Best represented by that size class.
Sabrblade wrote:It's because the Prime and Animated aesthetics aren't GEEWUN enough for this design team, who want all the toys in Legacy to have a unified GEEWUN aesthetic. And yet, despite they're saying that, they let all the Beast Wars characters keep their non-G1 aesthetic despite those guys being just as (if not more) rounded and curvy as the Prime and Animated characters. It's a complete hypocrisy.Rtron wrote:I swear I have no idea why they won't just leave those aesthetics as they were. I suspect it's because they're not a bunch of cubes, but at the same time, they haven't gathered millions of dollars in revenue like the movies, so they feel justified in saying "people won't like it because they're not cubes".
-Kanrabat- wrote:A titan Tidal Wave could still "combine" with Leader Armada Megatron. They just need to pack in some extra accessories with the titan that would "combine" with Megs. Big hollow things that could double as extra weapons on the titan.

It was never exactly the most intricate combination in the world. Making Tidal Wave bigger would give them flexibility to improve it.
AllNewSuperRobot wrote:Having the Titan Class Tidal Wave come with additional guns that could attach in the same way to Megs, you mean? That would work for me.

Exactly. Those "guns" would also double as gap-fillers for Tidalwave.
