I was thinking pretty much the same thing: Please Hasbro, make all new BM toys scale with Generations Tankor from 9 years ago, and not with the majority of BW toys we've been getting lately, thank you!Sabrblade wrote:The main benefit of Core class Beast Wars and Beast Machines toys means they'd be closer in scale to how the Maximals, Predacons, and most Vehicons* were much smaller than the Autobots and Decepticons in those two cartoons and their related tie-in media.

They already did. That's what Kingdom was about.blackeyedprime wrote:Not interested in cores but will be nice to see if they get released at other size classes.

Nah Beastwars/machines is already G1 (and G3, G4 and G0 hahaha) so they shouldnt mess with them as much as they did with the Prime figures in Legacy...maybe.

So true, I mean have you ever seen blocky animals... outside of Space Truckers?

I do have a bit of a concern regarding the BM Maximals, namely that their Beast and Robot Modes share almost no details whatsoever in the show. Will they attempt replicating that, let alone at Core scale?

Also about the Shrapnel guns; I dont see any difference in left or right.
I don't know why you'd want just the cab when that trailer actually do something relevant contrary to Rodimus Prime. Especially because that super mode is freakishly awesome and iconic and it give Prime a fighting chance against Megatron.
I just dont care for the look of his super mode. Ever since I saw the prototype of this Optimus I was excited to use it as my main G1 Prime in a new body. To go against Super Megatron. Or at the very least, use it as my Nemesis, if theys ever release one. I really liked Armada as a whole, just not so much the look of his super mode. But the base Optimus is one of my fav looks for him, along with G2 lazer Prime. I do like the new G2 Prime, but its just barely not good enough to replace Earthrise one as my Prime. Now if it had bulkier arms, shoulder/missle-pod rotation and maybe better legs, yes.
I would not be buying Armada Prime as Armada Prime. Just like Im buying Armada Megatron to be used as Helex(since prolly never make him), or someone, cause I just really love that design, just not as my Megatron. So I have no need for Prime's super mode.(my collection is as a head-canon 4th season of Sunbow G1[with a tiny bit of IDW and Marvel jammed in]). Now as far as I remember Armada Nemesis Prime never used the super mode, correct? I am not sure if they do release just the cab as Nemesis, if it would even fit in a voyager or leader price point, or something in between.
In that case, skip the Legacy Armada Prime entirely and just get the old Bendy Prime. I wonder if that old "deluxe" is as big as the Legacy one?
If yes, you're set.

They'd have to make a super-core Rattrap, then, but I'm fine with the 'modified' scale they have now. I want all my stuff to play in the same sandbox so to speak.

Beast Wars MPs were a response to us not having anything to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Beast Wars. As long as Legacy keeps giving us Beast Wars figures I doubt we'll see another MP.sol magnus wrote:Sabrblade wrote:The main benefit of Core class Beast Wars and Beast Machines toys means they'd be closer in scale to how the Maximals, Predacons, and most Vehicons* were much smaller than the Autobots and Decepticons in those two cartoons and their related tie-in media.

Wouldn't that be "sub-core"?

I had that very thought a few years ago. If I remember correctly bendy Prime is a bit too small and being a wonder when it was new, doesnt look as advanced and bulky as the new one.
Yeah those Core scaled BM/BWs figures would be scaled nicely. I usually dont buy core figures, unless they are supposed to be that size, ie. Rumble. However I am interested in this.

That's not a "rumor" at all. Just a single user's wish. Because most likely, many parts of the trailer / super bot are gang-molded with the main Prime. So a repaint that would only have half the set makes no senses.
As for a Nemesis Armada Optimus, I call that it's very likely because Optimus Prime is always an easy repaint.
Still, I'd love to see a "Nemesis Skylynx" before that.

Comes from some TFW leakers, along with Commander Magnus not having the inner bot, and a few other things.

The rumour I'm more interested in there is the tidbit about Commander UM, as that's something I theorised myself but that's more appropriate in the ss86 thread.
As for Nemesis Prime, I still can't see them reusing the normal mode Prime figure as its going to have the super mode fists and head that will now be useless. I can see them more taking the CAD file for the figure, removing all those elements (while stripping back other things to get it in the right price point, which would probably be Voyager)!
