No, seriously. If mine shattered tomorrow I wouldn't be surprised. It's literally the only Transformer I've ever owned that I haven't transformed once. And I've been collecting since 1984, for god's sake!

Its an amazing feat of engineering... Anybody that cannot appreciate that is truly unworthy to own this in the first place. If u think its flimsy, why would u buy it?
This my friends is a piece of art, meant to be treated as such. U dont wipe ur ass with a painting, do you?
Love every masterpiece for the love of loving engineering and incredible balance and decision making that takes place to make this happen and exist!
Just ordered mine, and bought a new display case to hold him, king grimlock on his throne, mp 10 eva mode, and mp 10 bape... Art deserves to be displayed and treated as such...

That was Hisashi Yuki's deadline for this toy's development, yes. 12 measly days.fenrir72 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:One that was developed on a severely rushed schedule of a mere 12 days.cramoptimus maximus wrote:This is a masterpiece dudes!
No kidding? 12 days? Just imagine if they took 60 days?

Precisely - what he was able to accomplish in that short time is stunning, but imagine if he had more time?
I'm really getting my hopes up for a Megatron 2.0...
i dont harbor any hate for MP05... but that enthusiasm is a bit much.cramoptimus maximus wrote:This is a masterpiece dudes! Not a freakin tonka toy to take to the playground!

G1COLLECTOR wrote:I bought him when he first came out and Never Transformed him. When I saw reviews, too many people had problems and did not enjoy doing it. Also, some broke him or thought he might break.
Then MP-10 Prime come out much smaller scale and this made me sell both MP-01 and MP-05 as a set.
MY ***BIG QUESTION HERE IS" Will this be the same size as his past release, or down sized ?
Also, if Takara is releasing him again this way, we might not ever get a smaller up-date to MP-10 scale in the future of the line. As if we did, Takara knows that a lot of past buyers would be super mad to buy a not in scale MP Megatron 2 times to make money off of the fans and then release a well wanted new mini scale accurate Meg. to make even more money from the same fans.
Just my thinking.
So, if all is true, LOOKS LIKE A 3RD PARTY WILL MAKE A IN-SCALE MEGATRON TO MP-10 PRIME. They can get my money if so... We will see maybe in a few years I guess ?

hegemon and that triple changer, neither are MP's. and theres just some things you dont do, like step on takaras toes when it comes to the "perfect" treatment of their most prominent characters. as its been said, the 3P MP soundwave was squashed by takara, and he's not even on the same level as prime and megs. i imagine if a 3P announces a MP(10 equivalent) megs, takara would let it sit for a month or two then announce theirs whether they were ready or not.G1COLLECTOR wrote:You say Takara will not let a 3rd party do Megatron ? Hegemon, there is a triple changer coming of Megatron as a Gun, Bot and Tank and looks to scale as MP-10 also.

- I hear the first Masterpiece figure you created was MP-5 Megatron and you hold the fastest development record with it.
Y: That is right. (*laughs) I was not assigned to be in charge of it initially, but due to the circumstance within the company I was unexpectedly handed down the project. The schedule came with it and I was stunned when I realised that I was only given 12 days, about 2 weeks...To make it worse, at the time of my receiving the task, even the product size wasn't decided. By "masterpiece" (lowercase M), they mean "Being a Masterpiece does not make it perfect or flawless". There is no such thing as a perfect/flawless figure.cramoptimus maximus wrote:Being a masterpiece does not make it a masterpiece statement is just a moronic line sir...

Lots of folks on this site are able to afford Masterpieces. En masse. So the price really isn't that much of an issue, here.cramoptimus maximus wrote:If u cant afford the figure, dont knock it, just say it like it is... Just say that its too expensive for you, and you cant pay this kind of money for a redeco of megatron, and you would rather save that money for something else!
