I got Ultra Magnus yesterday right before I went to work. So glad I got the HLJ price but it would've totally been worth the much higher BBTS price!

So I had a "Meeting of the Primes" (which Magnus is always welcomed to) and G1 Mags elbow broke. Thank goodness for spare cabs, I went Doc McStuffins on him...or better yet Planet Junkion, and he is resurrected.

MP22 has some minor design flaws as some have pointed out, but for TT to give us an official MP Ultra Magnus I wouldn't have it any other way. The only thing that actually stuck in my craw though, was his empty matrix cavity. But some watchful eyes on eBay remedied that! I just can't get over how it can be seen through his red windows, and how nice of a look it gives him!

I didn't know at first either, but after checking Seib's gallery it's either from the TT MP10 or it's KO equivalent. Either way, it's diecast so I don't care

Well, technically UM was just a transitional matrix bearer (Oh burn :lol:

) and Tomy went for the accurate look.

Btw here are some Ocean Design custom decals for him

The optic decals are separately sold though #-o

I have one thing to nitpick at UM-22. The useless missiles of his. Tomy should have given it an eye poking ability to be launch. :grin:

If they can give Exhaust a gizmo intended for Wheeljack, and G2 Bee a jetpack intended for G1 Bee.... they coulda gave Magnus an item that he actually used and had.

or Tomy is just plain mean to us. Makes me wonder if a "piss" yellow version is in the making. Maybe they'll include the matrix then?

but the Matrix he is supposed to hold is the one that comes out of prime's chest. so mp-um has to hold the that one while your mp-10's dead carcass lays on your desk.

For a while there I had Magnus holding both of the Matrices that came with Hasbro's Rodimus in each hand and Optimus facepalming next to him. Man, I just today packed my MP's up for my move at the end of the month. I'd post a pic if I thought to take one.
