I'll probably check a Walmart or two later this week.

Same as Slash. Personnaly I still believe they're not supposed to be attached in robot mode, but as folded mode (not sure if there's a name for this), the same they attach on arm or feet armor, in order to power them up, as described in the card.
And it's again just lack of communication between designers and marketing.

No way, those things are trash; extremely unoffensive, and sometimes adorable, but as figures, they're terrible. Guns are serviceable enough, but the pitiful excuses for melee weapons need to seriously up their game. I was so dejected after seeing skullgrin get reduced to a back scratcher

So because you don't like one optional part of one figure that makes them all trash? You know you don't have to use the weapon modes right? That's like saying all Titan masters are trash because every one of them has one mode that isn't great.

So by your logic, potp starscream is a masterpiece figure, because you don't have to transform it?
yeah they're pretenders. That's their thingI dislike them because they're so lackluster. They have a brick for a bot mode,
that they didn't even need to give them and they're completely optional. you can take the weapon piece off their backs and they can hold it as their own weapon if it bothers you that muchlackluster alt modes,
they're not supposed to be used as heads for TR figures so that's not even a valid complaint. Just because they can be used like that doesn't mean they were intended to.and the powermasters don't even slot into the hands/feet properly for me, and it doesn't exactly look amazing being stuck onto random tr figures,

His shoulders just dont go outward enough to allow for more dynamic posing.
And I am currently heavily debating returning Prime or not.

I know this wasn't directed at me but I have both leaders (found on store shelves at my Target for those wondering) and I feel the same way about Rodimus. I think he looks awesome and intimidating but he can't pose. At all. I appreciate what they were trying to do with the transformation but it just didn't work. And I am currently heavily debating returning Prime or not.
What's wrong with prime? He's easily the better of the two figures.

There are no street dates, stop spreading lies, individual stores cannot control what they do and do not receive, no b&m retailer can that I know of
It's not a lie. I can attest to the fact that at the Target store I visited on 12/31/2017, Power Masters were on the shelf, but they wouldn't ring up at the register, because they were marked with a street date of "04/20/2018." The manager on duty couldn't do anything for me. When I tried again the same day at the same store, most of the PotP stock that had been there the night before was pulled off the shelves, except for a couple of Deluxes. All the Prime Masters were gone when there had been two pegs full previously. When they checked on the Prime Master inventory, it was still marked as "04/20/2018" and put back in the stock room. Again, they didn't know why that was or how to fix it. There is a street date F'up, but it's limited to Target (possibly only that Target I went to or my region) and it only concerned the Prime Masters, as I bought all the Legends and Deluxes I wanted that first night and both Leaders the next day.

The street date of "04/20/2018" is indeed a bit of a silly error on Target's part, and I suspect it's on corporate level. As such, some managers or employees may be a bit iffy on "breaking" it, depending on how much of a stickler to rules they are.
Never hurts to ask, and if other stores in your area have them out (proof would be wonderful in this case), do mention that the date has to be an error.

It's not the same thing at all. Starscream is supposed to have an alt mode. If you take away the jet mode then it's not a proper starscream. If you take away the "alt mode" for the prime masters then they're still the same. Pretender shells don't have an alt mode. It was an added extra for this line. Now if the original pretender shells had an alt mode of their own and it got scrapped for the weapon mode then your comparison makes sense.

But we aren't comparing them to what they were in the 80's otherwise people should be pissed 'scream doesn't partsform. I'm saying that as they are the pm's aren't very good figures all things considered, your argument is just that they are as much a brick as they were in the 80's and I'm saying that that does not a good figure make
