If Repugnus is a TR based Deluxe, he will have symmetry with the other two Monsterbots= Win
If Repugnus is a CW/PotP limb, then I'll have an added limb for some combiners that are very much needed= Win
o.supreme wrote:As for Counterpunch. If he's basically the same as the TFSS deco, I already have it, and there's no reason for me to get it. But if its a completely new design, (maybe a repaint of another deluxe Automobile based limb), I may Get it. I have no plans to get Shuttle Blast Off since I already have the UW one, but I wonder why a listing for him has been on Amazon for months, but these two just popped up...??

Well I am Australian. It's kinda what we're known for.

Hopefully, they will be available through Hasbro Toy Shop so we will at least know which day we can make a mad scramble to purchase them.
I'm confused, because the situation you describe in the beginning pretty much IS what happens at HTS.
Jeffrohurt wrote:What other exclusive has Amazon had? I normally only collect what's at retail but I have dived into ordering online.
The tlk Cogman idea for Punch/Counterpunch sounds like the logical(easy) way for Hasbro to go.

He's still coming. We have several exclusives now in the works but not available yet:
Nemesis Prime (amazon)
Wreck-Gar (Walgreens)
shuttle Blastoff (Amazon)
Punch/Counterpunch (Amazon)
Repugnus (amazon)
so lots of potential specials here. Most likely not all May Mayhem, but still coming in some form.
I'm also hopeful for the $80 MPM5 Barricade on Amazon.
I really hope they do Punch/Counterpunch justice. He is a figure I really want to see. The club one was a cool idea but I haven't heard much good about the mold, hence why I am still Sideswipeless and CW Sunstreaker is my Sunstreaker.
Cogman would be awesome, if very out of left field. But still totally down for that
Cobotron wrote:I keep racking my noodle trying to think who P/CP could be a retool of (sad that I can't fathom him being a new mold, right?), but I just had an idea. Big fat what if, but what if he were a retool of TLK Cogman that came with two "Titan Master" style mini figs that represented his two faces? Then they could both ride in the cabin when in alt mode because he was a two seater.
Just speculation of course, but I could go for that.

Good to know the BB toys wont be another separate line. Also, we both agree Movie toys sold terribly, and were overproduced. The only difference is that there were 3 years between AoE and TLK, and there were only 2 years between the previous films, so obviously there was more spillover. Also I think more affirmative clearance was done by the last 2 movie lines to try to get them out of the stores, but like I said, TLK toys are still around. Also the other movie lines had additional assortments even after the movie was long gone, not so for AoE & TLK, those toys were bad enough, didn't need more of them.

I'm also hoping for the best with Punch/Counterpunch. Heres to having my fingers double-crossed......
Ah ha! I see what you did there.![]()
I'm sure Counterpunch will double cross more than your fingers.
I'm hoping Repugnus is a TR mold too. I'd think they would retool the same base mold used for Twinferno and Grotusque. I'd be fine with that.
The only other logicall option I could see is a retool of Ripper Snapper. That would be ok, but I'd prefer the TR option.
I share your preference, but it seems unlikely that he'll be anything but a combiner limb. Hasbro has been very strict about not breaking from play patterns in the Prime Wars Trilogy. The fact that Blastoff is apparently coming with a HFG instead of Prime Armor is already a huge deviation from the norm.

The Rook mold (Specifically the Nosecode retool) would have made an awesome Brawl. Would we have cared about the mold reuse though?
Va'al wrote:According to a listing on Chinese online retailer Tmall, there will be a Hasbro Asia box set release of sorts coming for the Transformers Power of the Primes Volcanicus members - meaning that dinobots Grimlock, Slug, Sludge, Swoop, and Snarl will all be collected in one box. Literally.
Going by the imagery in the listing (which prices the set at 1235 Yuan / 193 USD), the figures will be individually packaged and grouped together in a bigger box, sporting some nice Volcanicus art, plus an added notebook featuring the new dinobot combiner and the Power of the Primes logo. Check out the images below, and let us know what you think of this new take on the 'box set' idea in the Energon Pub Discussion Boards!
