So...Theres been a ton of talk about the Leader Figures here. I am mostly looking forward to the Vaoyagers & Deluxes for obvious reasons, still waiting to see what if any play pattern the leaders have with the rest of the line (other than Prime Master integration)...

But looking at Leaders from the last 3 lines...

In T30 (2013-2014) Hasbro developed/released 1 Leader Class Figure
In CW (2015-2016) Hasbro released 6 Leaders based on 3 Molds, 3 of which were based on the Leader from T30.
In TR (2016-2017) Hasbro released 8 Leaders based on 4 molds, two of which were based on one of the Leaders from CW

So as far as Brand "New" Mold:

T30=1
CW=2
TR=3

well its trending up at least....

Through Reveals and Leaks in PotP, we know there are at least 4 releases coming, based on 3 seemingly new Molds. Now since we know likes to milk all they can from reuse (I know this is not new its always been the case)...Other than the Obvious Rodimus reuse which was leaked...I'm sure we could get a Nemesis Prime at some point, not sure how Optimus Primal could be reused but...I was really thinking we might get a leader Star Saber in this line, but that, I would think would be a whole new mold, and I'm not sure if Hasbro can develop a 4th all new leader...Is it too much to hope at this point?

I'm also hopeful for it, but we'll need to see. With that interview, it sounds like we are not getting any con leaders, so hopefully they do do one more and make it Star Saber.

At some point, when they do finally do Apeface and Snap Dragon, they need to do Road Ceaser too. I want him to go with Star Saber

I'd like to see Road Caesar also...but it may be a bit problematic...being a 3 member team, if they could somehow use the God Bomber engineering, it might work, otherwise I was thinking maybe a 5 Member Road Caesar...They could make Star Saber the Voyager, make Victory Leo the 5th member deluxe, and have Holi/Stakeout be the 6th member (Legends). This would make it a Roadcaesar/Victory Saber Hybrid (Kind of like Hasbro's Liokaiser, but I know fans had their issues with that, rightfully so...

Otherwise, I'm not sure how it could be done, having a standard car as a Voyager , bigger than the other deluxe cars would look kind of goofy IMHO.

Depends on what type of car it is -- T30 Springer pulled it off well because it was a big, chunky, armoured car sort of deal. Not exactly your normal road-tested toyota; that's something you could easily see being that big. And indeed, if we look at Blacker (goddammit japan); who forms the torso of the original, his vehicle mode's a bit of a bulky behemoth you could see being Voyager-sized as well.

I guess it just stems from the fact that I had the original toys, and all the vehicles were the same size/scale. It was unique how all the parts add-ons actually made this 3 team combiner not seem to out-of-proportion. I guess if they could make Blacker/Gripper work as a Voyager then go for it, but I'd still rather Road Caesar be a 5 team then a 3 team combiner just for symmetry with the others...not sure who the other two deluxes would be though...maybe Leozack and Jallguar got disgruntled from being kicked out of Hasbro's Liokaiser and switched sides

On the point of budgets though, I firmly disagree with the idea that "if you have 50, you have 100". Im a student so on a perputally less-than-great budget, but that doesn't mean I have to go without the things I enjoy. It's less about whether I have the money and more about whether I can comfortably part with the money. Like, yes I have some cash, but I'd rather hold on to most of it and not risk putting myself in a riskier financial situation. If my toy budget for a month was 50 bucks, doubling it would be pretty significant!
...that's all kinds irrelevant though as whilst potp does look great compared to the mp, it just doesn't quite stand up enough in my eyes (as an MP-alike, he's sensational in his own right in terms of looks and play pattern!). I think if the grey "frame" that the chest windows slide into in robot mode were red so as not to stand out as much, that might change my mind

I too am a student, so what you said is my exact situation too! Though, right now I have practically no money at all... I'm waiting for my loans to come in

And I will fight you about the Glatorian era. I loved Malum.

Oh Jesus, you should see my shelves. I have a few things in my room, MP's, G1's, Leader Class jetfire, Walgreens Brainstorm, Valvotron, my Universal Studios Kreo, and (my equivalent to your Bionicle) a couple Gundam things. All displayed TOGETHER! On one shelf!!

But then my main shelf has literally everything else. Generations, Movie, TR, CW. Beast Wars, RID (2001 and 2015), Prime, Alternators, Rescue Bots, FOC, WFC, Armada. They all are displayed, side by side, on the same shelf. Some might think that's sacrilege or something, but I agree with Kurona, I tend not to care what people think about my toys that I payed for.

I'm also a student (Not a grown-ass man as some put it), and I'd like to think I have a pretty good grip on the obscure parts of G1. Certainly the characters.
And yes, sometimes food/other expenses has to come before toys. I don't think anyone is in a place to talk about anyone else's financial situation so broadly, as very few of us know each other personally. What you could easily afford might be something someone else has to save up for for months, whether that be something like a house/car, or a $100 toy, so we shouldn't make such large assumptions.


Anyway, back on topic. I love Prime, I love Orion, I think they both will become pretty much the quintessential versions of the characters, but I think I'll still save up for an MP-10

Or Inika, or Nuva, and to be fair even in glatorian they made a Mata Nui figure which was wild... man, this is making me want to dig my bionicles out of storage!
Im too have mixed displays though, theres enough kamen rider stuff that I get retroactive wallet pains looking at it,and TFwise I have some idw persuasions but generally have out whatever is most recent or most fun
....which brings me neatly back around to something actually on topic: accuracy be damned, these leader figures just look Really Freaking Fun. Maybe its from growing up with, uh, armada prime but armour/super modes is hands down one of my favourite gimmicks in any transformer. Getting Rodders is an almost certainty, prime is tempting, and Primal I'll have to see more of first. Holding out vain hope for an armada optimus do-over (gotta love those silly yellow ears), and slightly more reasonable hope for a starsaber. I'd be curious to see what the generations aesthetic would do to him- bonus points if they throw in a Titan Master as reference to the old brainmaster gimmick!

I'm in an odd place with my "displays"; I've got all the 'big bots' (basically Leader upward plus a few smaller MPs) on a single shelf and they look damn good if I say so myself, but aside from that basically every figure I own either lives in big plastic tubs or remains strewn out across my floor. (I may technically be a 'grown-ass man' but I am absolutely still a child ) And yet despite that... odd method of appreciation for my toys, I tend to keep a somewhat well-curated collection in terms of how I want certain characters to be represented, hence I'm only gonna be picking up PotP Roddles if his "Deluxe" robot is nearly Voyager-size. Who can fathom how my mind works...

(And I'll throw my hat in the ring for either the Toa Metru or the Mata, who despite their age are still so cool - although I actually never had a single Toa Mata before about 5 or 6 years ago (can you really blame me for not picking a team from my childhood though, my major 'childhood sets' were Hordika and the Stars ). Actually that does remind me, I do have a second "display" above my bed: consisting of both Toa Kaita, their Nuva counterparts, a Gurren Lagann model kit, and TR Windblade wielding a 3D-printed Scissor Blade. If that doesn't scream "eclectic collection" then I don't know what does.

I saw this on Facebook...well...DaimChocReports... & YES!!! even though they are digibashes, I still believe that the Rodimus one is possible...at least a Hastak + it kinda reminds me of DX9's Terror

I wonder if they make Boxed sets if they will use any Titans Return spill over - as it makes sense to do that when it doesn't make sense in the main line - like a G2 Green Tank Megatron triple changer would be a nice complement to Optimus for example.

I know, right? I usually don't double dip and stick with Hasbro unless Takara gives us something different or something Hasbro skips. The target masters weren't enough to make me go with Takara, so I have no idea why I'm so drawn to purple megs since I really don't have any attachment to the Japanese fiction either.

It has to be the badass factor. That and it would let me put Nitro Zeus' head on Hasbro Megs body for a new head-cannon character with Nitro's body being for TR Thunderwing's die cast head. Damnit Takara!
