While never said officiall, star scream being a combiner torso is guaranteed and its been deduced since SDCC and further confirmed through the leaks since POTP is bringing back the combiner wars Eco system.

Good question.
From what they say about POTP being about powerup and such, it's not impossible that the torso will be Starscream (like super starscream) and not a different character.

But this is 100% speculation.

I'll go against the grain and predict that Starscream, Dreadwind and Blackwing will be standalone or extras, with no specific team in mind.

Yup! Megatron's an Autobot, Starscream's an unaligned president, Soundwave leads a smaller faction of Decepticons allied to the Autobots in pursuit of peace. It's all interesting stuff and I'd love to see other media play with some of these faction mixing ideas in their own way.

Or if we go by the pattern that CW demonstrated in the first two waves, then Starscream's "official" combiner (according to packaging at least) would consist of Jazz, Dreadwing, Slaoug and Swoop. Talk about mixing it up...

Actually, I kind of had the same thought for any of the figures in this line that weren't already an established combiner team, so basically everyone but Abominus.

I mean, no matter what we'll end up with more torsos than limbs, just like Combiner Wars.

I'd like it if they did a "CW" Thundercracker and Skywarp for POTP, so that with Dreadwing and Darkwind you could have a kinda-sorta Seeker combiner.

I'd actually prefer Thundercracker and Skywarp, and then Ramjet and Dirge for the seeker combiner. (UW already had a Thrust, even though he's got Armada colours (why oh why!??). And the Ghost Starscream can double as a Deluxe size Starscream so you have all 6 seekers as deluxes).
But maybe they'll make the 3 coneheads as another set, and that'll be fine too

I too think we will get Thundercracker and Skywarp to combine. Because while Starscream could be just an extra torso, that means the dreadwing molds are extra deluxes and I dont think that will be the case.

then again, hasbro said they thought not releasing all corresponding deluxes at the same time was a mistake in CW

but then again (again) they are doing that once more with POTP with the dinobots and abominus.

So what do I know. I am still thinking we will get skywarp and thundercracker out of this, it only makes sense.

I agree Starscream will get a team. Sure.

But why skywarp and Thundercracker ? The two (very probably) members we saw are Dreadwings, which were let's say quite unprobable and absolutely not members of the seekers team.

So, why thinkg about classic seekers for the other members? Could be any other forgotten planes. Why not Hooligan ? NeedleNose ? Megaplex/megatron etc..

Because when people see a new Starscream, they want and expect Hasbro to make Thundercracker and Skywarp to complete the main Seeker trio.

Because the torso is the main seeker. So it becomes a seeker combiner and since the coneheads are a trio and not a duo, it makes more sense to fill thta combiner out with 2 jets that also combined in G1. Just my logic, but I can and will probably be wrong.

Universe Starscream, for one. The only other Seeker we got with him in that line was Acid Storm.
