It's like some kind of untold chapter of the Universe War, in which the Child of Primus Optimus Primal travels to an alternate universe where a tyrannical version of himself had conquered Cybertron either from or instead of Megatron.

Sabrblade wrote:That face is too Primal to be Megatron.
Besides, kinda like the idea of "What if the radical zealot Optimus Primal actually did go too far in an alternate Beast Machines and seized Cybertron for himself?"
D-Maximal_Primal wrote:6) Nemesis Prime is now available for purchase by regular Amazon users, but now I don't even know if I want one anymore. I would love to complete the 3 releases and 3 black repaints, but the OP mold is kinda lame and I don't think I want to pay $50 for him, especially since hopefully another Nemesis will come down the line later and I can get him in a mold I don't buy OP in. thoughts?

Sabrblade wrote:I think the whole "villain"/"tyant" vibe people get from this figure can best be explained by any of the following:
A) Noting the comparisons people have been making between this figure and its scepter with the likes of the mad tyrant Thanos and the Infinity Gauntlet.
B) Recalling this line of Optimus Prime's from the G1 episode Triple Takeover: "Thrones are for Decepticons."![]()
C) Recalling the phrase "Absolute power corrupts absolutely", when this is a throne of ultimate godlike power seated upon by a character whose personal history shows him to be the type of person who wouldn't ordinarily take up such a position of absolute dominating power, even if he was voted into it via democratic means.

Plus, he looks good with Nemesis and Unicronus in completing their "Dark Prime Trinity" of Potpie Leader class black recolors.
Dang it, now you've got me trying to figure out which Transformers would represent the Avengers in this story.Sabrblade wrote:A) Noting the comparisons people have been making between this figure and its scepter with the likes of the mad tyrant Thanos and the Infinity Gauntlet.

I've had no luck on the crown in any mode. You can sort of just put it where the gorilla head stores in the chest but it just kind of sits there and isn't secure at all. You can put the scepter into the 5mm hole on the front of the spaceship mode, but it looks pretty dumb if you ask me. I've resigned to needing to keep them aside when he is not in the combined robot mode.
o.supreme wrote:Well after 3 "back-and forth" e-mails and phone calls between HTS, it was finally deduced that because of a *glitch* my order of "Throne" was not finalized. Of course they were happy to retake the order, but I could not use paypal over the phone, so I just cancelled altogether. Thankfully there's Takara's backup. I'd love to, like others say, be done with HTS, because their service is so awful, but occasionally they do get in the rare item before anybody else does, or at a more reasonable price. Of course they could not say when Throne would be back in stock, but if they could just arbitrarily offer to fill my order over the phone, obviously there are more coming. Whats worse, she offered to compensate by giving me a 20% off code, which is all fine and dandy, but I didn't even get that in my e-mail....., and she even confirmed the address...

Mine are A3, Vector prime, quintus, and alchemist.
Wolfman Jake wrote:D-Maximal, could you take a look at the knees on your figure? Does it look like two different tones of red on each side of the seam down the middle?
Sounds right to me.Nemesis Primal wrote:So correct me if I'm wrong, or this is more appropriate for a different thread, but Wreck-Gar and standard release Primal/OpOp have yet to be found at US retail, right?
