I've got my Ratchet (UW Lynxmaster), and Bluestreak (Wreckage) already. I get the idea of making them non-exclusive so that all fans can have access to them, but then it also messes up the symmetry of the combiners for me if they do. . I know Hasbro doesn't care what the club did in the past, but I'd be kind of surprised by a mainline Ratchet & Bluestreak. Maybe bring back May Mayhem and release them as singles?, While they are at it include Shuttle Blastoff for completists.

I'd love to see a Ratchet if only because I feel he's the best character of that lot. Heck, across basically every continuity except the movieverse he's a fantastic character -- Marvel, Animated, Sunbow, IDW, TFP; all of them are great.

What's more symmetrical than Optimus Maximus rocking Prowl, Smokescreen, Bluestreak, and Silverstreak?!

I'm not saying it wouldn't look cool. It would very much. But I'm kind of OCD when it comes to combiners. When having fun, mix-em up any way you want. But at the end of the day, for me, they all have a dedicated combiner, and Bluestreak's place is with Wreckage (for now at least).

Of course there are always what I call *acceptable variances*. Sure the original Hasbro instructions for CW Superion & Menasor included one member of the opposite team, which I can just dismiss. But I was pleased and downhearted at the same time to see Rook now have a dedicated Combiner (Modulus) that wasn't Defensor, alas it will probably be a combiner I'll never be able to assemble even thought I have Rook, SG Starscream, and Ratchet. An individual CW Scattershot is easy to get but Medix...that is a wild goose chase if ever there was one (see my want list though...)

Modulus makes me wish for proper retail releases of Medix and Ratchet.

If I ever get a Unite Warriors Ratchet perhaps I'll find him some labels too.
I guess repro-labels & a bit of paint stuck on a First Aid would be OK to some.

No - I don't mind that there isn't a set number of limbs or allocation for them - sure it would be nice to work towards some limbs that make some sense used with red Optimus or Galvatronus.

But at the same time - I'm quite happy to have a Sideswipe on his own. or Random others of the same sort of body design like Deep Cover, Clamp Down, & Red Alert (Or whatever the Transformers name for a Diaclone Police Sunstreaker is) Heck I'd even be fine with random repaints of Hoist or Trailbreaker too in Blue or yellow.

I don't expect Hasbro to make Grapple & Hauler though - both would have been nice... If you don't mind being semi-original by making a combiner out of Autobot Construction vehicles for a change.

I do tend to think Grapple as a combiner Torso shouldn't be off the table though - especially if one follows my idea of alternative Constructicons sharing Autobot Construction moulds. They don't even need to be the same "Usual" Constructicons they can be the "Other ones" like Scrapmetal, Blight, Hightower, Demolishor, and so on..

For whenever I get around to assembling my own Modulus, I bought a second TFSS Bluestreak in the previous Club Store sale so that I can sticker him up (using the Club Store exclusive sticker sheet) to make him look different enough from my non-stickered first TFSS Bluestreak (whom will be a limb for Wreckage) so that he (the stickered second Bluestreak) can serve as a limb for Modulus in lieu of Medix.

How do you like that figure? In terms of play quality, is it fragile, on par with CHUG figures, etc? Feel free to PM me if you don't want to derail the thread further. I ask because I am considering getting oversized variants of the Dinobots when they come out (as well as the official ones too, don't fret lol), but my experience with KOs has been lackluster at best.

Also, the Feral Rex engineering seems close to how I would envision Hasbro will make it work. The leg bots appear to take up a good chunk of the the upper leg instead of just the lower leg. But, we shall see at Hascon at the earliest (though most likely later) what they have envisioned for Predaking.

Having looked up the Firestormer Combiner on TFWiki, it sounds like a great way to finish the 1984 Autobot car line-up, I hope it happens. It's probably wishful thinking, but hopefully the case assortments we saw in the leaks aren't 100% final and we see another hypothetical limb for a hypothetical Firestormer earlier than Wave 5.
I was playing around with some of my Combiners today, and it occurred to me that the Streetwise/Prowl mould would make an excellent Barricade, perhaps with a head sculpt based on his design in the Earth Wars game.

Since it seems like PotP will have no less than 3 gimmicks at once (Combiner, Headmaster, Leader Evolution), I'm going to have to redo and merge my tooling lists for CW and TR into one. I wonder if I should separate the PotP-original molds from the original CW ones, into "series 2" and "series 1" respectively. Would make for easier reading especially with the new Dinobots and Terrorcons heading our way.

Looking back a bit, Predaking potentially being on the way makes me real glad we not only have a Sky Lynx, but a combiner-capable Sky Lynx. He'll have a proper shelf nemesis in Sky Reign.

It's not a rumor, we are 100% definitely getting him, but we don't know what he'll look like yet. The only images were placeholders, and Hasbro took them down it seems.

Technically, Hasbro didn't take anything down. They requested that the fan/news sites take them down, and they obliged. It doesn't take much google-fu to find them again, if one were so inclined.

That's true. I actually did save the images before they were taken down.

If Hasbro don't include the weapons with their Predacons (or some of them) I might be tempted to chase up the cheap Predacon KO's based on the Feral Rex combiner to get the gold weapons they come with - they look like they'd be ideal.

^ Or just wait on TT. I am so hoping they reintroduce, or continue the UW line. If they do, you know their Predaking (Like their UW Devastator), will have individual weapons if the PotP does not.

There's no guarantee that any of that will happen. We'll just have to wait and see what happens. We have to remember that is not always better than .

I dunno, they done a really good job on improving Trypticon.

Nah man, they done an AMAZING job giving a different colour to two small circles on Dinosaurer's back assembly. Absolutely fantastic.

The point is, sure we do not know what POTP Predaking will be like ultimately. Hopefully LIKE Trypticon/Dinosaurer it will be close enough to the original that TT wont have to make any improvements, but if it is somehow found to be lacking (as was CW Devastator), there is precedent, for TT to improve things.
