As far as accessories go, nothing is worse than MechTechs [that don't lock].

That BH OP toy looks like something that comes with your Happy Meal. Strangely, I don't think the alt mode's so bad--bit of a nice Mad Max vibe to it, actually. But the wheels jutting out from the waist...bleh. Not a fan of the green windows either.
That's clearly a mistransformation, it's foolish pass judgement based on that alone. These are stock photos after all.
And stock photos are almost ALWAYS mistransformed, and the colors are almost always brighter than they really will be.
A children's toyline actually looking appropriate for children? THE HORROR!Hotrodimust wrote:This is even worse than I thought this figures weapon shoots discs lol that's way worse than mech tech. The prime line is totally kiddy now so sad

Sabrblade wrote:Yeah, let's just go back to the old Diaclone and Micro Change molds. That'll surely fix everything.Flakmaster wrote:What an ugly, over-saturated, under-engineered piece of garbage. It looks like the designers decided to create a combination of TFA Prime and Cybertron Prime, throw some completely tasteless "beast" details onto it, and then top it all off with a horrendously ugly dull-gray mechtech-style weapon. Heck, the Cyberverse figure looks better thanks to its lack of cheating on the chest transformation, and the silver, normal-sized weapons.
This looks to be just one tier above the Rescue Bots figures.

Damn it, I was going to say something like that! I mean god forbid a toy for kids looks like *gasp* a TOY for KIDS!
gothsaurus wrote:But yeah, I don't think the argument is whether these are "aimed at kids"... but the fact that the age group is shifting drastically younger and younger, to the point of shutting out many the adults.

I disagree big goofy looking weapons that shoot stupid projectiles are IMO. That's the type of weapons that come with crappy 4" Spider-Man figures or gi joe movie figures. But everyone likes what they like and I like my figures a little more serious than kiddy.

Okay. That's your opinion, but almost every Transformers line has included these "kiddy" firing projectiles up until DOTM, so this is nothing new. Many of us, myself included, have longed the return of firing projectiles. Beast Hunters is bringing me what I want with that.
SkyWarpsGhost wrote:I don't mind the firing projectiles, but the aesthetics of this Beast line is horrible to my eyes.
I've bought every single PRID mold (some twice to display in both modes) and 7 of the AMs, but it stops with these.
Well, if that's the result of this line, then that's fine with me. More for me to enjoy then. To the victor go the spoils.gothsaurus wrote:I hope with a lot of adult collectors bailing,

gothsaurus wrote:I hope with a lot of adult collectors bailing, that Hasbro/Takara devotes some real thought to planning some adult collector toys, instead of just one Masterpiece figure every year or so. A line of original mold club exclusives or online store toy line aimed at high-end collectors would be very welcome.

Count me in.
Manterax Prime wrote:TBH, I don't know why people hate this guy. You'd think they'd be happy he doesn't follow the movie design that alot of people hated and that he's done away w/ the crappy powerizer gimmick. Hell, he's done away w/ mechtech completely.
