Upon wandering into Big W today, I was greeted with a fresh sight - Wave 2 Warriors! Dunno if they've been seen in Australia yet or not but they're sure new to me. No Skywarp (is Skywarp in the wave? I'm not sure honestly) and no faceplated Soundwave variant, but I got a Soundwave anyway because he was...
and wait for it here...
$20!! Compared to previous RiD Warrior prices of $29AU, that's a nine-dollar (~30%) drop, bringing it to the same price as - well, technically a single dollar more than - a TR Legends figure! And it wasn't even a sale or anything, that's just the price they are now I guess. I am more than happy with this development.
(My working theory is that it might be to help with stocking or something - since the similar size classes are now all different prices across lines: $20 for Warriors, $25 for TR Deluxe, $29 for TLK Deluxe - but I have no evidence to back that up, it's just a thought. It's also just Big W doing this price drop so far, from what I can tell! Maybe the other stores will drop Warrior prices to match when they get this wave in too, who knows.)

There's still time. One may turn up.
And given that the toyline has what seem to be Aerialbots, including a crssh combiner made from two of them, I wouldn't be surprised by a Superion either.
An Optimus combiner with those aerialbots?
Honestly I'd be so surprised if they didn't milk Optimus with this.
No, I meant a Superion and a separate Optimus combiner (with maybe some returning TFP characters for limbs?)
Not that Optimus combining with the Aerialbots would be a new idea, mind you.
The damage is done, better steal Dragstrip from Menasor for good measure.

While we're at it, why don't we replace one of the aerial bots with a helicopter? Sell the missing jet as repaint and make limited stock

What were you paying for Warriors before? Every Walmart I've been to has always had Warriors at that price with TR Deluxe a little less and TLK Deluxe a little more.

Possibly "Wildstrip" was deemed an inappropriate name for a children's character. Goodness knows why that would have been...

Because in the cartoon it is Drag Strip that forms the shirt, while Wildbreak forms the pants:
The toys seem to have it reversed.
Worse still, neither is an F-1 racer in the show.Kurona wrote:... wait. They... they gave the F1 drag racer to Wildbreak and not Drag Strip?

Guess they managed to hug after all...
