Awhile back, we received notice that the Transformers Revenge of the Fallen video game would have a Downloadable Expansion pack, featuring ten new characters, three new maps and a new difficulty mode. Only the Xbox 360 and the PS3 will feature this expansion, thus the Wii is to be left out. With this first notice, we also were given the images of two of the new characters G1 Starscream and Sideswipe;

and now we get to see G1 Optimus,

and Soundwave, who is very similar to his 'Gathering at the Nemesis' color scheme.

Are all the new characters only for Multiplayer? That would suck since I would LOVE to play as G1 Prime & Soundwave. Plus I'd have to get a Gold membership....

With 3 new levels, I believe these 10 new characters are integrated into the campaign module. Of course, even if it isn't, I'll still be happy playing as Sideswipe.

Switching over to the PC aspect, you won't be getting this expansion as it's something you'll have to pay on the Xbox and PS3 marketplaces, however I'm sure the PC version will have some sort of upgrades.

awesome. i was pretty much expecting both characters, but i am extremely happy they confirmed a few more before the release date.

Ugh.... I really wish they didnt release these G1 characters. If it were a game with only G1 characters it would be alright, but its going to drive me crazy seeing G1 characters with movie characters. The G1 repaints and gold characters annoy me enough. But I am looking forward to it.

Frak yeah Soundwave. Sorry Sideways looks like your about to get replaced as my favorite character in this game. I hope they're all playable in single player. That would kick ass.

Sweet, I just finished playing this game and I still love it. Can't wait for the expansion!

I hope we get some NMC toys as characters (Bludgeon, Scattorshot, Breakdown ect)

i would definitely buy a game if it used the G1 characters and especially if they looked that good...movie bots look too busy and give me a headache...

On topic, I think it'll be great having both G1 and Movie characters in game. I just hope that they are new characters and not just skins of their movie counterparts.

Maan i wonder how fast would Soundwave go in his satellite mode. Satelites go pretty slow...oh well we shall see. and i'm also SURE that JETFIRE is gonna part of this DLC. He was already part of the single player mode in Cairo. :-?

I so called Soundwave. Nice to see G1 Prime.

Right now since we have 4, I predict the other 6 will be..
- G2 Megatron (he can't really be G!, Mass Shifting FTL)
-Skids
-Mudflap
-Jetfire (he is already in the wii and PS2 version)
- Barricade (I hope)
- Scrapper

Gonna go buy the game on Sunday. Coolz!

Actually if I remember correctly, G1 Ironhide or simply Movie Ironhide in his G1 Deco, was actually available only if you preordered RoTF The Video Game via Amazon.com. Anyone remember this to be true?

Soundwave actually has a jet mode, too.

When I rented it, I was able to unlock Ironhide in G1 deco.

WHEN ...WHEN...I want arcee ( movie form ) and the ability to combine her . AND, I want g1 megatron to transform into the p-38 walter handgun , being held by any close decepticon. That would be incredible. oh yeah ...and Bruticus. :grin:

I doubt you'll get Megs in his gun form. And definetely not Bruticus.

This is what I believe will be the new characters and possibly skins.

Megatron (New skin for Megatron that will use Megatron (Flight) even if using the normal character) counterpart for G1 Optimus Prime
Bumblebee (G1) counterpart for G1 Starscream
Ratchet (G1 Colors) counterpart for Long Haul (Yellow)
Arcee (New character) counterpart for Soundwave
Jetfire (Playable character from NPC model) counterpart for Scrapper
Scrapper (Playable character based on Constructicon drone) counterpart for Jetfire

Maybe Arcee will split into the three bikes for her vehicle mode and all transform together as the singular robot mode.

That's what I hope and believe at least

Your right , I probably won't get the gun form but it was a great idea..I though also a red recolor of bumblebee a.k.a. cliffjumper...

I could play this game forever...now if I could convince my wife and children to do the same..Even though I finished it in 2 days. They should add new boss fights too ...and finish it off with fighting UNICRON...****activision /luxoflux :grin:

...take notes for future DLC...
