If I try I can certainly impress a "race thing" on them, but I don't see that by default. To me, being from the country, I just see caricatures of rednecks or white wannabe gangstas.

That was and still is my exact same impression of them as well!

I find the "racism" pushed on these characters to be quite forced. First time I heard about it, I was going "uh? whaaa?" and even the voices actors themselves were dumbfounded.

One more result of the critical-race-theories cancer festering in the USA (and too many parts of the western world) since decades.

I really hope they do update Skids and Mudflap, I really enjoyed them and they have quite nice designs. You can't update all the movie characters without updating them.

I Didn't bought much of the SS figures. But man, I would really love to have a boxset of the icecream twins but this time, in proper deluxe sized bots with the vehicle that scale using modern engineering. Why not add the two regular ones as well? A special boxset of four figures.

Then, it will be a badly distributed exclusive.

I strongly feel they shouldn't make any actual film characters into exclusives. I get Leadfoot because he literally has Targets logo on him, and luckily (in the UK at least) he was very easy to get ahold of. But aside from him, the exclusives should just be repaints or characters that weren't in the film, such as Thundercracker. Please don't let SS get the same treatment as Earthrise where half the characters are unobtainable exclusives.

I'm glad I completed Devastator individually, I don't see my need for the boxset. which is sad, I wish they had done something more to try to get me to buy it.

I also want the twins, they are among the very few bots that have not gotten figures, and now that we have Devastator complete, they really should release them. Wouldn't mind a deluxe or even voyager 2-pack to get them right

See, that's just it. One could argue that "white wannabe gangstas" is itself an offensive mockery of another race's culture, and in that light it's easy to see why people felt offended by Skids and Mudflap resembling "white wannabe gangstas".

That was my point. That's projecting onto them that being that way belongs to 1 specific culture. It doesn't. (What I'm trying to say is that if you say it's racist because being gangsta only belongs to black people then that is racist in itself.)

But what's more sad is that a specific race has dealt with so much oppression and mistreatment and **** that this assumed portrayal, while most likely inaccurate, isn't exactly some crazy stretch.
I'm not black, I'm Asian. And while I'm no high scholar, you don't have to be to understand the reality of history.
What's probably more of a stretch is for people to claim that blacks are too sensitive to the racial issue. Imo, the fact that there is still a racial issue may in fact be justification for a black person's "sensitivity", not matter what level or degree.

Greetings Seibertronians! Fellow Seibertron user, -Kanrabat-, has let us know that YouTube toy reviewer, TonTon Reviews, is first on the scene again with the recently announced Transformers Studio Series 86 01 Deluxe Class Jazz!

Jazz joins Kup and Blurr in being the first wave of Studio Series 86 Deluxes. There has been some speculation over his number with the favorite being a combination of previous numbers that have graced his alt mode in the past.

That Jazz is absolutely magnificent. Could benefit from some Repros and it's a bummer we can't door-wings, but otherwise, it's a sure buy from me.

If this Jazz could do the door wings, it'd be an automatic buy from me. As is, I may still pick it up if it looks good in hand, but personally it's not a priority, especially with Kingdom going on at the same time

I'm so happy with United Jazz. But I must say if they gave Hot Rod all the extra accessories it's lame that they didn't give Jazz his shoulder weapon at least...pretty lame / .


That being said maybe / will milk fans some more and release another repaint like Centurion with another wave of accessories and included will be Jazz's shoulder weapon eh?

I assume so. I wasn't surprised he was skipped in Earthrise and Siege because he had just gotten a figure in PotP. I think this is what we get.

Who knows what will happen post-Kingdom, but I'm not expecting a retread of the '84 cast since they were so well represented in WfC.

I like this jazz I dont really mind the lack of door wings, considering they're going for more cartoon/movie accuracy over original toy accuracy. More couldve been done for articulation or accessories but I like the overall look and the scaling with the other updated G1 bots

Never say never, rumours are that if Kingdom does well, each generations line after will be 50% G1 50% other. Though I think that thus Jazx could have been easily put in Kingdom but was knocked other here

And Grimlock's sword. It's also why jazz is wingless. But isn't this what people wanted? The toys being like the cartoon?
