One way to check is to look for any car licensing on the packaging. If there is, we may see an MP Meister yet.
Spoilers.... There is none. SS86 Jazz unfortunately is not a licensed Porsche, as much as it looks like one.
But does it have to be licensed though?
Just a few mods to the vehicle like for the SS figure and they are in the clear.
Would be the first MP car outside of Hot Rod to not be licensed if that were the case.
Not impossible, but kind of strange for a line priding themselves in Vehicle and robot mode cartoon accuracy that has in fact licensed every other real world car.
Considering the original toys were exact replicas of vehicles (albeit unlicensed due to lack of proper legislation at the time), called out as such, and animation models were made based on them, it's not strange at all. The Mini-Bots were Super-Deformed, yes, but the original Microman toys called out the exact models of 3 to 4 of them.

Could be a Slag that turns into a red Ferrari.Sowndwave76 wrote:D-Maximal_Primal wrote:Hopefully a Dino reveal is in the future here too

This one is my Target one. $20 after tax. My Amazon $30 one arrived in August

Ah, okay. Asking because my Target Overload's still backordered and I had to approve another delay yesterday so I was starting to wonder if "backordered" meant "C'mon dude, we messed up the price of this guy, please just cancel, we're not ordering anymore"

Skipjack is flooding my local shelves, is it not the same in your area?

Local availability won't matter for Emerje and a few others who pre-ordered them back in February during the BOGO 50% sale Target had. Finding him in stores isn't the problem, finding him at the $22.50 sale price is the problem.
Mine got cancelled on me from the same sale so I went the Amazon route.

See I thought if you showed them the preorder on their own site and showed that it's still not delivered, yet the figure is physically right there on the shelf, they should sell it to you for the preorder price, provided that you cancel the preorder immediately upon purchase. But I guess legally they can't force you to do that.TF-fan kev777 wrote:Rodimus Prime wrote:B&M stores won't honor online sales?
Not typically for ones that aren't currently in effect. If you could find one in stores and convince someone at the service desk to let you purchase it at the same price based on your delayed pre-order, possibly, but no guarantees.

Holy crap this figure is seriously impressive!
The head/face sculpt (which makes this so much better than Blurr and Kup) is so good.
The overall figure proportions are excellent; if there is something that isn't completely accurate, it has to be minimal.
Similar to what I've mentioned about SS86 Scourge, the mold design is incredible... There are nice subtle details, and the upper legs having curved edges adds quite a bit for being something so simple.
The colors look great, although the use of some of the yellow parts is questionable...
I think those would've been a bit better if they matched the orange of other parts.
But even that doesn't really take anything away from the overall look because they're not in glaring locations.
Not really too important imo, but he does scale really well with Megatron... Really any larger, and he'd be more the size of Rodimus.
The accessories are fine... I didn't really need any of them, but in the spirit of the line's intent, it's all good.
In fact, part of the reason I don't mind the extras is because the figure itself is so solid.
I dig the visor option... The fact that it (and the welding tool option) stores away completely keeps it from being what I'd call a gimmick.
Placed side by side, the PotP version just looked really... Old.
What stood out to me the most was the molding and colors of the forearms and hands; they just looked stupid lazy (even if they were designed that way due to the transformation).
Also, the shape and a bit of the length of the torso looked off. As did the flame design on the torso.
I'd argue that my Henkei version is better than the PotP one (which is why I never bought it).
SS86 Hot Rod will be very difficult to top.
I'm feeling real confident that for this character in my collection, this new version will be the end of the road.

I have a few issues with him, but yes overall he looks great. Can’t wait to add him to the hot rod shelf.
Also that hood origami it does to hide the front of the car in his chest is impressive.
