Super glad I did though, it’s an awesome figure! Looks like it walked right off the screen in robot mode, and with the exception of the beard poking out a little, the kibble management in vehicle mode is really well done.
Can’t wait to combine it with Optimus!

TF-fan kev777 wrote:He is very fun to combine. I lucked out in the opposite direction. I found jetwing prime on the shelf a couple months ago and had to hunt down Jetfire on ebay once I did.
Rodimus Prime wrote:There's is a SS Jetfire (and DoTM Megatron) at my Wal-Mart right now. If they ever clearance him, I'll pick him up. He's not worth $50.
Around here they were scarce, at both Wal-Mart and Target. I think I saw them twice altogether, before these stragglers popped up in my Wal-Mart last week. I will get Jetfire mainly for the blackbird mode, I love that plane. I don't care for his robot mode, and even though I love the original RoTF leader figure, the jet mode is yuge. From what I've seen, the SS version is a bit smaller. So that's why I don't want to pay full price, he would be basically a display piece in jet mode. Does that pin joint mess up transformation?EvasionModeBumblebee wrote:Rodimus Prime wrote:There's is a SS Jetfire (and DoTM Megatron) at my Wal-Mart right now. With the QC issue on that pin joint, I can understand that. Interesting that Jetfire's starting to pop up at retail again, not that I'm complaining! It's especially weird because his wavemate DOTM Megatron has been a fairly constant shelf presence since it hit stores.

Nemesis Primal wrote:My final Pixelmaster post (for now, anyway), with some Studio Series details:
-A Demolishor repaint of Scavenger has been considered, but is not currently planned
-A Cybertronian Starscream retool of Blitzwing is confirmed (I think there was a listing of this somewhere, but I don't remember exactly)
-At least 1 currently unknown upcoming figure is going to be negatively affected by budget cuts, apparently, whether it's an SS or an SS886 was not mentioned (it wasn't even mentioned in an SS thread, but it was with this other information about known SS figures/characters so I'm assuming it's related)
-Blitzwing isn't licensed because the money that would have gone towards the licensing was instead used to give him additional accessories and articulation compared to other SS figures (fuel pods, knife hand, poseable choking hand, etc), and to fix some stability issues present in the original design
-Because the mold was made and came out before SS86 was conceived, a more movie-accurate repaint of Siege Springer is currently planned as a Selects release to supplement/accompany the SS86 stuff, no other figures were mentioned to be getting this treatment
His source is Pixelmaster and all of the posts he's made about this over at TFW. Nemesis Primal just compiled all of the info from Pixelmaster's posts into one post above as an all-encompassing overview.LinaNui wrote:Nemesis Primal wrote:My final Pixelmaster post (for now, anyway), with some Studio Series details:

And a source? I keep seeing this stuff pop up but with no source to confirm any of it. Also none of this stuff is "new", all this has been speculated for a long time now.

Yeah, I apologize if that wasn't clear enough, I made around 4 of these posts in 24 hours each on a different thread, and I realize in my effort to not just type the same thing every time, I included less and less initial explanation, so if you didn't see the other posts I can see that being confusing. My bad.LinaNui wrote:Sabrblade wrote:His source is Pixelmaster and all of the posts he's made about this over at TFW. Oh ok, Sorry I did not know that pixelmaster was a persons name.

I'd love a transforming Wheelie, especially after the TR version really wasn't that fun to handle, but I think it would be hard to do at that small of a size. I still think Kup's arms aren't transformed right because something just looks off. Not bad toy off, but something wasn't done right off.
Yeah, I've looked at Kup a lot trying to decide if I want to preorder him or not...
I know it's an improvement, but I must not like him enough... For me it's the face sculpt, and his shoulders being too low. I mean, I also think his shoulders are too broad, but even that would've bother me if they were higher on his torso.
I'm definitely skipping Blurr.
I only see myself considering these two figures if they go on some crazy good deal... Like $10 each.
Otherwise, it's just more money to funnel towards other figures (hopefully) like Galvatron and Slag.
And maybe MP Starscream.
ZeldaTheSwordsman wrote:I think I know what bugs people about Kup:
1. Bad posing - in several shots (including the latest), his ab joint is leaned back when it really shouldn't be, making him look awkward.
He's posed better here.
2. His shoulders are too low. Not quite as bad as on the original toy (dear Primus), but they're still set too far below the neckline. They needed a double-hinge or a slide to let them migrate 5mm or so up from where they currently are. Or have the existing hinge situated higher.
3. The backpack awkwardly sticks out instead of sitting against his back, so it looks like it's floating.
Hm... Maybe I'll be getting Legends Kup after all...

Yes. Now go to your room and don't play with yourself.

My gut tells me you'll be able to find Kup, and maybe a few other 86 figures for that price somewhere down the line.

my only gripe on Kup is his chest is too flat its supposed to me more curved

Its kind of like Basic Instinct, but not in a good way...
Goddammit, now I can't unsee it.
