Hopefully the next fan first Friday focuses primarily on studio series (without 86) and some of that bumblebee stuff
I'm not getting my hopes up. The design team appears to have a giant G1 boner that they still can't seem to satisfy no matter how many versions of the same toys they keep making and how many lines they take over.
Unfortunately I too am hardened by geewun and its nice to see the toys getting some solid figures after 30+ years
That being said there's no reason for fans of the live action fans to have to wait as long with modern engineering
I would say with a little patience they'll hop off the g1 anniversary marketing considering there are new films in development and hopefully the next fan first Friday will be all about Jolt, Soundwave, etc
Until then ill be enjoying this while my bank account has its arteries slashed and slowly bleeds out

But, as it works better as a worldwide name, I am fine with it. And yes, in this context, I am guessing they are going after the word for a punch. Given that Slug is the more violent of the Dinobots (despite being based on an herbivore), the name fits him quite well.
People are going to have to get over the name change. Slag as his name is pretty well gone forever.
Does no one realize the term slug can be used to reference being punched really hard? as in 'slug slugged some poor' I think it fits just fine seeing as they all seem to suffer from violent tendencies
I mean, that is pretty much explicitly what I said in my post. I still think it is a hair too close to Sludge though.
lol, sorry, I didn't really comprehend what was being said, it's been a long week for me at work and I'm not really functioning at my fullest right now

NBD. I hear you there. Long week and it isn't even over for me. I just want the remaining three Dinobots now. They *kinda* implied that Sludge might be coming with their comment about the original three Dinobots. I would rather we got Swoop next, but as long as we get all of them, I am fine.

Because of they way the schedule works diffrently on the movie crew and toy design,it means in order to the toys be ready when the movie releases, the HasTak designers may have use only unfinished designs for the line.
It happened more than once.
The solution would be an separete toyline, but I understand it would be a difficult decision for HasTak,because it would probably mean no cartoon based toyline.I believe there is still enough movie characters without updates to justify the Studio Series
Day 510 of waiting for Transformers Armada Masterpiece news.

I'd imagine it'd be the case for how Bumblebee was handled, the characters will pop up in Studio Series but there will also be a cheaper, more kid accessible toyline

Ig89ninja wrote:Cool! You got the stl file?
If you want to add Transformers: The Ride 3D to that list, there's also Evac, whose original toy feels dated, now, compared to the SS figures.D-Maximal_Primal wrote:Bay Movie wise, bots we still need in SS include (non-revealed listings not included):
2007: Frenzy
RotF: the Twins, Jolt, The Fallen, Sideswipe, maybe a pack in Reedman and Alice minifig?
DotM: Que, Hatchet, Ironhide (with new guns), Bee, Driller, Devcon, maybe a gunship with protoform pilot?
AOE: Slug, Strafe, Scorn, Two-heads, More vehicons are welcome, Galvatron, a new go at Prime, maybe a Steeljaw minifig?
TLK: Mohawk, Dreadbot, Onslaught, a new Barricade(?), a proper Infernocus (Commander class preferably), a new Hot Rod that is more accurate, Canopy, how about some more knights? And a Nemesis repaint of Prime.
I mean, there really aren't a lot, this can be done, we are close!

Looks like I'll be able to get Ratchet from the Takara Tomy Premium line so there's that, shame the rest are going for outrageous prices on eBay.

The problem with that is most of the Buzzworthy line figures are Bee himself. 3 out of 4 of the first deluxes were Bee and the only one that wasn't Bee was from the Bee movie.

I figure Stinger at least has a chance in Buzzworthy since he's his "knockoff". I could use a car Dropkick, too, not going to pay $40+ on eBay for that for sure. It's my own fault for being late getting these figures and I can live without them, but I'm sure I'm not alone.

Here ya go!
I always looked at this one as the step between the RoTF version (still silver, new alt mode) and the DoTM version (same altmode, new deco). If you line them up side by side, you can see every step of the physical change Megatron went through between the 2 movies.-Kanrabat- wrote:I prefer the normal DOTM Leader Megatron in it'S more natural rusty paint job.
This Universal version look too clean. Like some mysterious phantom.
Plus, Universal Studios Megatron is the one that gets to gleefully insult kids to the faces.Rodimus Prime wrote:I always looked at this one as the step between the RoTF version (still silver, new alt mode) and the DoTM version (same altmode, new deco). I would guess because Scourge is a Studio Series cartoon figure and Cyclonus isn't.
