So I just saw some ROTB set pictures with Scourge and the orange tow truck. These are really getting me hyped for hopefully a SS type line with figures of them. Since the rumors for 2022 of SS don't seem to have any ROTB figures, I am hoping they get there own line.

Yep. There have been some rumors that ROTB will be in SS for 2023 after the movie's own toyline has ended (to allow time to get the final designs from the movie), but nothing confirmed in that regard.

I really dig that new offroad Camaro for Bumblebee, can't wait to get a figure of it!

Didn't SS start when the BB Movie came out? BB had it's own line, but was part of SS as well. I would imagine RotB would be about the same.

It started a year earlier in 2017, for the 10th anniversary of the first movie.

The line was announced in late 2017, but figures were not released until March of 2018.

No, it LEAKED in late 2017 along with the leak of all of PotP. It was officially announced at Toy Fair in 2018, and if you preordered you got a free year of Pulse Premium, which also was just made a thing at that time.

If this is true then it's probably for the best. We've seen a lot of off model figures come out of the movies and I'm sure the regular retail versions will be as well so if they take their time and do them right a year later it'll give us the best versions in SS the first time.

If this is true then it's probably for the best. We've seen a lot of off model figures come out of the movies and I'm sure the regular retail versions will be as well so if they take their time and do them right a year later it'll give us the best versions in SS the first time.

I think this will be the case, look at the first few BB movie figures in SS and how they compared to what we saw on screen.

It's not this time.

Any mention about ROTB chsracters making their way to SS later is just speculation, there has been no evidence or actual rumour from people in the know.

For the time being. This will instead be like the TLK line where all toys for the movie will be in the same movie line, including deluxes and voyagers.

Yes. New one is "shiny", old one is plain.

The original deco on the original release (SS-29) is the plainer deco when compared to SS-78 out in stores now. Being out in January, I can't possibly know if they changed anything, but can see why they would. We have no clue if this was a found solid case/pallet or how EE is getting these.

I was looking over the studio series line output for 2021 and it was really dominated by the SS 86 stuff which I forget is Studio Series when it's in my toy bins (since I don't group them with the Bayverse figs).
The Best SS figure of the year will no doubt go to a toy from that subline (I'd pick Slag).

No doubt. Especially since SS overall has always had a mix of new molds and repaint/retools. But, since every SS86 mold released so far (except Sweep) has been a new mold that means the bayverse figures were terribly short on new molds this year.

With its parts popping off, Slag sure ain't my best of this year.None if the Bayverse figures I bought that blew me away came out this year. So I guess I'm only left with '86 Grimlock.

I’ve liked all the SS figures I’ve picked up this year, I think a top 3 would be ROTF Bee, Dino, and Grindor. ROTF Bee is a retool of an existing figure, but it’s so good it’s probably my favorite of the year!

So, with Pulse Con in about a week, what are the odds of us seeing Rise of the Beasts stuff? Like a trailer and maybe some of the figures for it? I admit that I might not pick up too much from it, but based on the rumors for Scourge's design, I'd love to see that bad boy in a trailer and in action

They are still filming them in alt mode so I woukd say the odds are slim to none for a trailer.

Found Sideswipe this weekend, $14 too thanks to Walmarts current deluxe prices. He is really nice. I like him more than the original DotM one
