They could still introduce unicron in this movie but leave fighting him till the next movie. This way, it could build the mythos of the character up and still give him a whole movie to fulfill his ego.

Same reason the Driller and Shockwave got a lot of media exposure in the lead-up to DOTM... only to show up and say "hey yo prime I exist cya later" at the start of the film then show up waaaaaay later only to die without doing much of anything

Because they're saving them for the actual movie, or at least a trailer. Why would the spoil the main villain this early? They knew they could put something on there that no one has any idea what it is, and that would gain people's interests. We've seen Megatron countless times before, and they didn't spoil the Creators in AOE. What makes you think they'd spoil them in TLK promotion?

Because the studio doesn't really care that much? They know this movie will make them a big profit because Bay is directing it. Probably they could care less what advertising looks like or spoils, as long as it draws in moviegoers. Plus the toys tend to spoil the villains within months of release.

Has anyone mentioned the possibility that the fanged thing is some kind of gestalt? If you look closely, it almost looks as if it's made of thousands of smaller bots, each (or most) laid out in an X-shaped spread, interlocking into a hexagonal or pentagonal (can't quite count it clearly) framework. Reminds me of that D-Void thing from IDW a while back, and that's not a good thing.

PS: Michael Bay sucks.

Seibertronians, welcome to the Transformers 5 Set Picture/News Round-up, the feature where we take a look at all the news we haven't covered that broke this past week in the Bay-verse.

We start off with a story from Michael Bay's Instagram, updating us on the World's Loneliest Dog story we reported on last month. It seems she's finally found a home after Michael Bay publicized her inclusion in the Last Knight.

Well, glad we helped this poor dog who lived in a shelter her whole life.
