I understand where he is coming from, to me Squeeks just seems like another wasted "gimmick" character. And of course we watched Transformers when we were kids because they shot at each other and fought, not the stories so much. Thats why most of us are here, I was 6 in 1984 and fell in love with Sunbow G1 Transformers.

Yes. Now go to your room and don't play with yourself.

We know what it is!
Cute mascot character for the kids to adore over!
My little sister (who is 9 and has watched the Transformers movies in the past with me I mute the inappropriate language even though she knows about it and knows not to say bad words) already loves Squeeks and likes his name although she is confused about the whole peg leg thing and she asked me why he only has one wheel since at first she thought it was Fixit from the Rid cartoon my sis thought Transformers Prime was boring and usually would not want to watch it with me which is a part of why I don't like that show but she loves RID for being an actual kids show.

Take BWN Break as an example...

Hate this trend...

What about this leader-class toy who wears almost his entire alt mode on his back?
edit: also, this
Still, it's not as if all the movie toys are getting bad because of it. There was an evolution 2-pack for sale at the UK TRU which gave me Evasion Optimus and Classics Optimus for 20 quid; and while I bought it purely because I wanted a Classics Optimus, the Evasion one turned out to a very solid voyager toy with a clever transformation - albeit with some irritating panelling and fiddling.
KennethAkfaer wrote:Have NO movie 4 toys but played with several. The Milk-Magazine Battle Damaged Evasion Prime is a very impressive movie 4 toy.

I still like mine a lot. Currently my fave Optimus toy ever. Poses well, looks great in both modes, doesn't take tooo long to transform but is complex enough to be interesting and still just love the whole gimmick of agile, athletic looking movie Prime being able to turn into blocky G1 cab more convincingly than a lot of G1 Prime figures do.
KennethAkfaer wrote:You pose it great. Custom painted?
My all time fave movie Prime toy is this APS01U. Mine is not fully armed due to the space limit...
The movie 4 leader class Prime is a simpler wrapper... And the upcoming movie 5 knight...
Carnivius_Prime wrote:Is there a movie 5 toy yet or you just going by the movie 5 Prime looking like the movie 4 Prime and expecting the same kind of toy?

I am not going to buy any movie toys if the WRAPPER design stays still![]()

Carnivius_Prime wrote:heh. I'm really looking forward to them cos movie toys tend to be my fave (I like some Gens & Titans for updates of fave old characters but I got back into Transformers cos the movie stuff is what I had wanted since I was a kid and would often redesign characters in the back of my schoolbooks as to how they might actually function & transform in real life). I'm keen to see what they do with Prime. I really liked the Armor Knight leader toy but I loved the difference between the 2007 and 2009 Leader Class Primes despite them being based on the same design they turned out far more differently, like Hastak had a much better understanding of how to compress all those rectanguler truck parts into movie Prime's much more streamlined self. The 2007 toy is still fun in it's own right though as a Transformers figure but for accuracy they really knocked it out of the park with the 2009 RotF toy so maybe they'll do it again with his knight form?

As I look back to the character designs of RotF Prime, I could say that the chest could come from the truck's front window. And that's how the 2009 Leader Class transforms.

But the movie 4 prime, the designer should have kill Bay for the human like body of prime![]()

And in the last knight poster, we could see a human like body again... So don't know what designers could do than a wrapper again....

It sucked. It wasn't as bad as Grimlock or Galvatron, but it still sucked.ZeroWolf wrote:Was the 2014 crosshairs any good? My tru still has some left and I keep looking at it but he has a car shell on his back, is there anything you can so with it?

Huh, I thought the Voyager Grimlock was supposed to be decent? That's a shame, I was thinking of picking up the AOE dinobots eventually.
