Got some bad news about that Voyager Bee. If the codenames mean the same for the characters then Gamma Ray means redecos of old bee toys. And that is the code name for that voyaer Bee (the only code name to repeat between deluxe wave 1 and voyagers). So the voyager would be a pre existing BB. That means it will probably be the HFTD deluxe packaged in robot mode and sold as a voyager, which is what Takara did in AOE
Emerje wrote:Sure, AOE didn't have a sub line, but they also got all of their most important characters released in Generations.
Galva Prime wrote:Actually 'Gamma Ray' is Berserker. Repaints of Bumblebee are coded 'Gas Giant' while new moulds are 'Saturn'. (These are confirmed by cross referencing the product codes for the listings). The voyager is code named 'Gamma Beam Grey', so not exactly 'Gamma Ray'. This makes me wonder if Bumblebee on the Voyager listing is erroeous (Amazon.com has Slash listed as Berserker as well as Berserker and another site has one step Hound listed as Sqweeks) and it is in fact Nitro. People have only assumed that Nitro's some kind of exclusive because he was leaked along with the Mission to Cybertron deluxe Megatron, but he might well be in the third Voyager wave with Scorn.
Emerje wrote:I feel like part of the reason the first three waves look the way they do is because Hasbro doesn't want to reveal certain plot points just yet. One of the things leaked about the movie is that there'll be a new Prime, how could they not make a figure of that?

The Dragonstorm shown at Toy Fair, the Mega Turbo Changer one, and maybe similar in size to a Leader Class, plus a Legion is all we'll get of him. The only Leader Classes that I know of are Megatron, and redecos of AoE Leader Optimus Prime.

Except for the main antagonist of their flagship character Bumblebee. Instead all we had of Stinger Stateside was a walmart exclusive one step and legion.
But yes a subline following the movie could be good. However I disagree with the notion of not wanting to spoil things since that issue was already solved with the use of codenames. This list of codenames is what was sent to retailers for them to place their orders (hence why retailer exclusives dont appear there) so its complete as far as they are concerned.
william-james88 wrote:As we know from AOE, rumours sometimes are just that. There was a rumour Optimus would become a silver knight in AOE and that didnt happen. Funny thing is target had a ton of toys of that unrealized concept
william-james88 wrote:Sorry for all the posts one after the other, not easy on the phone.
One thing before I forget. Me and Emerje had established that any molds which seemed exclusive to a retailer turned out to be released at large eventually, using the RID line and its exclusives as precedents. Theres a mistake there: Legion Megatronus was a new mold only released at TRU and never at large. So we have a recent precedent for retailer exclusive molds.

Man, Has/Tak is getting pretty good at disappointing their fanbase.
When are they gonna get that no one cares about the one step crap? Transformers are supposed to be like cool little puzzles. Doing in one step completely defeats the purpose of a puzzle.

The "Capitalist Oppressors" comment was just a joke, I can assure you, not a legitimate political opinion. He was just making fun of the figure. It would be similar to someone saying "Thanks Obama" in response to a straight repaint. It's sarcastic, and is not what the person actually thinks. Don't worry, we wouldn't have posted it if we thought it was politically fueled in any way.

I, for one, welcome the Robot Revolution.
