I highly recomend that Magnus, he is a fun figure with a smart transformation.
I agree. It's just that I like my collection to stick with its theme. I thought Legends Warpath looked great too, but I cant have everything, so I am going to stick with the combiners which got me started (and in the case of TR, -Leaders, Legends (that interact with the leaders), and Titan Masters. The very rare exception is Thrilling 30's Jetfire, which I haven't got yet, but just because I really
really like that character.
It's probably why I was out of collecting for 10 years. The thrilling 30's line had a lot of great toys, but it was kind of all-over-the-place for me. I'm weird when it comes to numbers, themes etc... I mean the deciding factor of why I started collecting Alternators when they came out was because each one was numbered (kind of like the original series released by Takara)
In fact its probably a good ting I don't live in Japan. I know they've since dropped it, but for the longest time, up through CR at least, every toy they released was specifically numbered, there was something about that which drew me in.
I also feel bad for anyone who is a huge fan of the clones. The first time they've ever been brought back, and potentially a lot of money, and potentially unwanted figures, just to get them.
