Welp, that didn't take long. I may have to get him since I got Blitzwing. Still haven't got Sandstorm, but I dunno about him. I want the triple changers.....

Get Sandstorm. In many ways, he is an improvement over Springer. Since he lacks the sword, he doesn't depend on a weapon for one of his alt modes, and he fixes the issue (to a degree) with Springer where the front of the car doesn't stay together.

You should definitely get sandstorm. In my opinion he wears the mold better than Springer and his colors are killer. Plus the giant black wheel wings give him an awesome silhouette in bot mode.

I've got both Springer and Sandstorm and while Sandstorm certainly clicks together better than Springer (though I have no real issues with Springer in that department. Mine stays together fine, it just doesn't feel as secure as Sandstorm) he just doesn't look anywhere near as good as Springer in robot mode. He's just too blocky, plain and has that horrendously huge backpack (consisting of his car rear wheels/Vtol-fans, that makes him a bit of a pain to pose or stand up. Damn I haaate that crap) that Springer doesn't. Plus Springer has a sword and swords are cool. Also Sandstorm's gun is just plain ugly which is annoying cos I had the G1 toy too and his gun was kinda neat if unspectacular.

My Springer is on my all-time faves list. Sandstorm is a decent figure but has too many flaws for me so he's on my list of figures I will sell on if I need money. I bought him mainly because of Springer and the Marvel UK Wreckers thing (though Roadbuster was one of those and I sold him on soon after purchasing cos he was junk)

Triple changers abound! I wonder when we will actually see all these guys we have gotten gray silhouettes of. I want to see what all of these end up looking like for real.

They're probably wave 2 of titans return so I think we'll see them either at toy fair this weekend or at botcon

Well, based on last year, we actually had full images of Bruticus by June and Defensor in February, so it is very likely for us to see full titans return wave 1 stuff next week. And wave 2 stuff in a month or 2 I thinks

I think it just boils down to personal preference. While I do agree that sandstorms gun kinda sucks I actually really like the big wheels on his back and I've never really had a problem posing him. Also his head sculpt is mind blowing =P~

I like what I see, now we just need colour shots

I also prefer springer over sandstorm, mainly because of the sword :-P

robots with swords tend to win me over (unless it's a robot with a stupidly large sun bursting hammer but that's another story) and also because I loved the g1 springer.

I like that the whole Triple Changer line seems to be moving up to Voyager class, BUT WHY DOES HE HAVE TO BE A HEADMASTER?! :-(

That's business for hasbro I this current climate, moulds being reused helps offset development costs. As much as we would like nothing but unique moulds all the time, it doesn't make much business sense. Also kids won't care that it's a retool, only us adult collectors would notice.

Although I would like to get Sandstorm, I am happy with my Springer. As leader of the Wreckers, and one of the main characters from the G1 season 3 show, I love him to bits. I think he also scales fairly decently with a lot of the other season 3 characters out or coming out soon (e.g. CW Cyclonus, TR Galvatron, Generations Arcee, CW leader Ultra M, Masterpiece Hot Rodimus, and others). I am so happy to have Springer, and am now hoping to get the others from the G1 season 3 cast. (Fingers crossed for a Masterpiece Arcee.)

I'll wait for delicious takara grey and purple.

Well... I'll probably get the Hasbro one as a placeholder and then flip it when the takara one hits. We don't know how long it'll be before that shows up.
