You can presume how the transformation works in the new pictures from Toy Fair. I'm just wondering what the things on the left and right side beside his head are for?

At Toy Fair they forgot to extend them:

Looks like the CG model was mistransformed.
Maybe, but I think he looks cooler with those things extended.

I have plans for Chromedome. Gonna peg a couple Constructbot wheels in his shoulders! Tried it with Dead End but his ports arent as centered as Dome's so it doesnt look right.

Yeah, thats just speculation. John Warden said Titans Return will have a lot less retools and redecos than CW, and they will only be used when they make sense. So I wouldnt expect another use of that mold aside from Astrotrain. The Lazer Prime is rumoured to be a new mold.
I'm more baffled what it means for Optimus and Megatron to be Headmasters who are NOT part of the line.
CW Galvatronus/Cyclonus had no fictional support outside of his bio but WAS part of the line.
I am hoping if the rumor pans out that the Megatron is either G2 Megs or, if it's a retool, Gator Megs who could still kind of work as an adversary for Laser Prime since the main fictional use of him was as a theoretically post-G2 Megs back before BW canon was established.

The rumor states that megs will be sporting his g1 colors and they're not totally sure of his alt mode but it looks like he has tank kibble.

Yeah, but for example most of them have stiff feet to plug the hand-foot-gun in there. So there you lose some steps.

A thought about the whole Tanker Prime and Tank Megs thing. It was stated that they were Voyagers, and as we all know, all Voyager Headmasters are triple changers. You know what other triple changers have tanker trucks and tanks as alt-modes? Blitzwing and Octane.

The mehcanics are nothing similar, he's not a spaceship and a train that combine. You can see in his train mode that one of his feet forms his front and the other forms his back.
aye your right, my mistake, his train section forms his bottom half, while the spaceship part forms his top half, hmmmm interesting

but! it's still the mechanic of connecting two halves together! but just done in a different way to that of Energon Omega
I don't understand what you're saying. Sentinal Prime is not two separate components that combine into the body. He's a triple changer, like all the other Voyagers and Leaders. Can't you see the shuttle's wings on the side of the train? Even if that's not what you meant, your wording is at least weird.

I don't know if that theme will carry over because they say that prime and Megatron will not be part of titans return but instead the third leg of prime wars. However a new octane appeals to me greatly.

I doubt it somewhat, only main line titan returns voyagers are triple changers, I think megs and optimus don't fall into that bracket. Also there is no decepticon called octane now

I think I could do without Blitzwing (unless he greatly improves over the Voyager from 2013 which wouldn't be too hard I don't think), but man do I need a new Octane. The 2008 Deluxe just hasn't aged well.
They call me “Tanker Chungus”!

Out of the ten molds in CW (including Blast Off and Groove), 5 have some sort of foot articulation. It is merely a design choice, not a necessity. With the Aerialbot molds (minus Bravo), Groove, and the Offroad mold, having the feet fold down would not make sense, given that the legs form the back of the vehicle. And the Dead End mold doesn't have any actual feet to begin with.

Some sixchangers would be amazing!I doubt even Takara would bother making Grand Maximus and Brave Maximus.

They were just examples but Dead End is a really good example, too, because now Chromedome (who borrows Dead End's leg transformation) has articulated feet (and so more steps).
