They've got a ton of heads; including a lot more than when I last checked. Rescue Bots, Rung, Aileron, Breastforce, Cybertron Override, Beast Wars Megatron, Gobots... Titans Return and Shapeways are like a customizer's dream.

Essentially, Generations Brainstorm is much more IDW accurate - about as accurate as could possibly be, really - but TR Brainstorm is much more in-scale with his Headmaster comrades. This becomes relevant for IDW though when you consider Chromedome.
But at the end of the day, you're wanting TR Brainstorm for your Headmasters collection and Generations Brainstorm for your IDW collection. ... even though I'm using TR Brainstorm for my Lost Light display because I want him the same size as Chromedome.

I don't acknowledge fiction that didn't appear in the ation after school.

But seriously, I never got into the additional fiction from overseas. I can see the appeal of heads warping for others, but for me it does nothing. And I really want a new Brawn.

Fair enough. I was even being coy anyway since the Japanese fiction I speak of is from this year. Though I was really hoping you would say "but the fiction you speak of was just done to sell these toys" to which I would have replied snarkily "Which is what G1 was all about". But ala, it was not meant to be. I totally get not getting something that has nothing to do with the childhood since nostalgia is a big factor and there is less nostalgia here. And yeah, a new Brawn would be good, but I am really not sure. Some rumours get jumbled around, there might have been confusion somehwere. I will believe a Brawn is coming when I see it.

Oh and just curious, would you be up for a Headmaster Arcee?

I was referring to their look in general. They all seem like ameliorations to their G1 toys rather than actual updates, unlike the others who have new functionality they didnt have before in the fiction, until now.

The point is, not everytoy in this line is as drastic a change from the original, so I can understand fans being confused and divided. Kinda like how Mixmaster in last year's Devastator was far more obvious as a change to the original than the others, even though all of them were updated.

The repaint of Chromedome into Arcee would be a perfect Club Figure. If there still was a club.

I have a feeling if there's a retool of a figure into Arcee, it'll be Blurr.

It'd almost certainly be Daniel (which is annoying as I personally prefer the "Headmasters are the actual robots, the bodies are lifeless without a head" take on Headmasters). As for the exo-suit, you probably couldn't pull it off without making the head mode look like arse. A titan master vehicle styled after the exo-suit would be neat though.

And yes I am aware she was going to be redecoed from Chromedome, but really I don't think it would work.

Prime looks good, but I will probably wait for Octane.

That Hot Rod is nice lookin, if he wasn't a Headmaster I would be all over it. Probably still will, but I was not around yet for the original Headmasters so for me, Step One being "Remove Head" feels like a cheat. And those heads are TINY. I don't need to be losing my head.

So if I get three of those Optimus toys I can have

There's nothing wrong with Generations Arcee. She's fantastic. It wouldn't surprise me that they make a figure for her in Titans Return since they've done all the other headmasters in Rebirth except for Scorponok.
