As I said this line is based off of g1 and idw. Not sure if you read the comics or not but they're pretty g1 in the comic designs.

Its not that heavy a retool. The legs are the same and so is the back of the vehicle. The arms and front have changed though. More of a Cannon Bumblebee than a Battle Grimlock.

If only.

They even have their own repaints into different characters and then another set of repaints that isn't just G2. I'd love an army of Seacons in any one of their three color schemes. I've already went on about how easy it would be to get EVERY beast combiner out of only a few base molds and retools. There's no excuse why we haven't gotten any yet.

Again like I said elsewhere, Computron needs an Abominus to battle.

Stuartmaximus wrote:
SillySpringer wrote:it is quite possible that Gen Brainstorm's headmaster is compatible with the TR headmaster.

that is a fantastic idea! & one i could easily get behind, if it weren't for two possible things

1)i think the size of the TR Headmasters maybe bigger?

&

2)we don't yet know the mechanics used to connect the Headmasters to their vehicle bodies & if they even operate in the same way that the Generations Brainstorm does

but all in all a great idea ;)^

i'm impressed :D

The Titan masters are most likely either the same size or smaller than Gen Brainstorm's headmaster, since the heads on the deluxes for TR are the same size as the voyagers and leaders. The reason the look bigger on the bigger guys is because they have helmets that cover them. ;)

I can definitely see differences in the back of the vehicle and his legs. They look similar but not the same.

Yes, I know how Titan Masters work. I was talking about how Voyager Brainstorm's head would be too big for Deluxe Brainstorm's body even if they used the same connecting method.

There might be a seat on the bottom I suppose, though the front guns are permanently attached to the nose so there isn't much need for combining gun parts. He comes with Blurr's gun, it's in the cropped leak image and you can see it under his alt mode attached to the front.

Lunatic Prime wrote:But something's still not clear to me. When Apex/Hi-Q is now OP's Headmaster, who is Optimus then actually in that story/universe? I don't think that he will appear in that form in the comics because it's the same like with CW Cyclonus: How can Cyclonus and Galvatronus be the same character? Yes, Takara answered that with their UW version, but I think it's just a pretext to make a new version/toy of him. I have nothing against that but I can't really imagine a background story for him that fits to G1 or IDW until it's not something like the story about IDW Ultra Magnus and Minimus Ambus.

Marvel comic #80.
Image
In the final issue Hi-Q is reborn as Optimus Prime by the Last Autobot. Of course it doesn't really matter since Titans Return will be doing something different and in Prime's case they're just swapping one required-for-bot-mode mini figure for another.

Lunatic Prime wrote:And is Orion Pax not obvious enough as Megatron (Nucleon) being Galvatron's Headmaster?
Considering that the figure is based on Powermaster Optimus Prime, in a line where all the little partner figures of the 1987 Headmaster characters are meant to be the very same little partners of those 1987 Headmasters, who else would Powermaster Optimus Prime's little partner be than Hi-Q (even if that name isn't being used) himself?

I'm still holding out hope that Apex turns into an Orion Pax head that's concealed by the Optimus Prime helmet. We still haven't seen Apex's alt mode and it makes a whole lot more sense than Twin Cast turning into Perceptor's head.

Toy Fair officially starts Saturday, but it sounds like we can expect a preview by Friday, at least of Fort Max. They're also doing an investors presentation from Toy Fair on Friday, those sometimes have some interesting things hidden in them.

On a related note, have we seen any photos of the way Sentinel Prime's helmet/headmaster works (in the same way we've seen Galvatron)? I'm assuming all Voyager class headmasters in the TR line will require extra, uh... helmets. :???:

I think the fact they look like someone else is just a homage and not to be taken literally but it is a missed opportunity to work out a way of doing homages to the character from different continuities.

Thanks emerje for the info :-)

I still want a bit more clarity about why these are titanmasters but that's only likely to come when we get bios. Till then I'll just pretend the bodies are lifeless hunks of metal till the Lil guy pilots them.

A censoring word filter, methinks.

I already assumed that by myself, but what does it mean?

Silly gibberish substituting a "bad word".

I'm also a Brit, but unfortunately I do not even have a Toys R Us that is even viable to get to. :( all my recent generations purchases have either had to be from Ebay or B&M Bargains I was able to get Roadbuster and Rhinox.

B&M in Cambridge have had Springer, Sandstorm, Rhinox, Sky-Byte, Whirl, Brainstorm, Blitzwing and (lots of) Roadbuster all for £12.99 each and even Leader Jetfire for £29.99 (rather than usual £49.99) over the past year. I should probably check to see what they got as haven't been to Cambridge for a while and all they had last time I went was left over Roadbusters. Always Roadbusters...

But one that made perfect sense and was one of my fave things about G2. Finally Megs could turn into a big gun that can transport itself around and look threatening and not need his bits fondled by Starscream everytime he wanted to shoot. I think I have that large G2 toy somewhere in a box actually. The tab for the spring loaded head is broken but other than that he's in good condition with working electronics from what I remember. I'll have to go dig him out. I still want a Leader CW Megs if I can find one cheap enough.

SNOOFENGLOOP is a threat worse than Unicron so shush or he'll hear you and destroy us all.

Still undecided on this Blurrstorm. Will have to wait til the robot mode is fully revealed. The vehicle mode just looks too much like a hybrid of the two characters rather than a full Brainstorm.
I have anxiety, depression and aspergers syndrome so my behaviour can be erratic. I don't mean offense to anyone. Just very picky about my Transformers collecting. You're all cool! :)

Likes: Bayverse, Marvel UK G1, Geoff Senior art, '86 movie (more for style/soundtrack rather than Star Wars plot)
Dislikes: Bumblebee movie (lousy rehashed dumb crud), TFA, G1 cartoon, IDW G1, BW/BM, MP. The entire concept of Autobot Megatron

Fellow Seibertronian AZT found this interesting announcement on the official Transformers Facebook page:

It’s high time the Transformers team gets on Instagram. So Bumblebee is packing up the crew and snapping pics in New York to kick it off. @TransformersOfficial goes live this week with a big announcement and an up-close look at a certain Titan scale figure.

So keep a lookout for when the official Transformers Instagram account goes live since it seems this is how they will reveal toy images of Titan Fortress Maximus, who is without a doubt the "titan scale figure" they are referring to.

We'll need a thread on here to re-post everything they put up there for those of us who wish to avoid the land of ugly duckface selfies an meal pictures.
