Hey Hellscream, what do you think of Scourge's paint apps?

I thought the point of many Transformers fans was to hate everything new - except it when it's established then sell it off on the cheap when it's old hat and complain about that old line being crap - once the next one had reached the established stage.

So in 6 months time there will be people saying how awful Combiner Wars was and how great Titans Returns is.

That is why so many people dropped their Prime toys like they were hot.

As for the debate I can't see why I should hold it against 80's toys for being 80's toys. if anything current toys are regressing to the standards of the 1980's only this time with less or no chrome/rubber/Metal and clear pieces.

So all the disadvantages of the late 1970's toys and none of the advantages of the 1980's and 1990's except for those that arise as a consequence of CAD/CAM.

Firefly??? Do you mean Air Raid?

And the deluxes were pretty tiny and light. FoC Optimus may be one of my favorites, but I am willing to admit how small he was. not to mention the combiners then

Knew he was one of the limb bots and he was red, so I just went with it. I got kickback and shockwave. Shocky was a little hard to pay that much for, but I have no such regrets about kickback, he is big, solid, bug

To be fair, the FOC Air Raid toy is supposed to be Fireflight, but Hasbro couldn't get the name at the time and didn't start using the "Firefly" substitute name yet, so the name "Air Raid" was used instead with the toy's bio still reflecting that of the Fireflight character.

Well, strictly speaking, they were unusually small for the time, very hollow (again, not something we were used too), and, apparently, used notoriously inferior/cheap plastic, they were pretty stingy on the paint too

Not WFC, just FOC. The FOC deluxes were very cheaply made with flimsy plastic, and they were all small.
