Sentinel still looks really lovely, but that Orange is starting to look a bit more monotonous. It really obscure his details and blends in parts that should be distinct; like his head to his shoulder... uh... things. What are those things beside his head supposed to be, anyway? What purpose do they serve?
Galvatron also keeps looking amazing, but that goddamn headmaster keeps holding him back. It's the one time I really don't like a toy in this line having a Headmaster... I'll wait on a third party head. Otherwise he's a complete 10/10 imo aside from a few minor cases of no paint applications where there should be
And also way better than the Energon guy. Sorry but he always looked kinda crap to me and he has a really bad case of tiny arms

Sentinel looks ok i s'pose
although i am still curious if they'll ever release a TR figure down the line which made up the other half of Energon Omega(since basically that's where Sentinel has been molded from albeit with some retooling involved) & with the two halves.....if they would still form a kinda fan mode Omega(YES! it's a stretch....as the retooling would probably prevent it).

... I won't doubt that they took inspiration from it (though it's a... bit of a random thing to get inspiration from), but unless you're joking or just making a metaphor I highly doubt it's actually retooled from one half of Omega. C'mon now.

No idea? as i don't have the figure, to see if it would still form one half of omega(even a fanmode based one)

Sentinel DOES NOT take hint from Omega Supreme. He is based on the war within astrotrain design which predates Energon Omega Supreme by 2 years. Any likeness is coincidence.

I always felt Energon Omega Supreme should have been repainted as Astrotrain. I'm in the middle of that very customisation myself.
This version is too small for me I'm afraid.
I painted Galvatrons face silver. It does help.

Wait, too small? He's a voyager, how big do you want him?
I mean, if you want a Supreme sized Astrotrain, all the power to you... it just begs the question why.

Stormbringer Astrotrain, actually. And only a concept sketch of him from the trade paperback since he didn't actually get to appear in Stormbringer (published in 2006).william-james88 wrote:Sentinel DOES NOT take hint from Omega Supreme. Well now I enjoy the design a lot more lol.
Personally I was always able to put up with the modes looking a bit far off the original. I'm all for redesigns, and with space shuttles being de-commissioned having a cybertronian shuttle/space ship mode makes a bit more sense. And if you have one cybertronian mode, why not two?

Re: Transformers Titans Return Product Reveals, News, Updates, Rumors, Leaks and more!
so, from what I'm seeing is, Hasbro needs to have someone in charge that will improve the quality of their toys and parents need to teach their kids to be more respectful with their toys and not destroy them, then everyone could have nice things.
I'm really looking forward to this line, haven't seen a single figure yet that I don't like. Combiner wars and Titans return has really brought me back into collecting again, I stopped during revenge of the fallen, just couldn't take bayformers anymore and the look of the animated series just didn't appeal to me.
also, I think Sentinel Prime would look a lot better with a simple wash with the right colors to bring out the details.

We're not doing this again are we stu? I think it's been pointed out to you multiple times in this thread that the sentinel mold has nothing to do with energon os. I have energon os and I see no similarities at all between him and any pictures I see of sentinel/astro.

I wonder if Hasbro is a little sour over this being revealed before the box set comes out, possibly undermining their SDCC sales?
Emerje
pfft, with as little effort as they seemingly put into them (unfortunately), I'm not sure why they would be surprised
Because until now their cover story was that the only way to get Brainstorm to complete our Titans Return Headmasters is by buying the SDCC set. Now that we know he's coming to Walgreens how many people that didn't want Windblade and Sentinel are no longer buying the set? I know I no longer will be.
Emerje
Yeah, there is something fishy here. For there to be individually packaged (and slightly different) Brainstorms, then they most definitely knew it would be an exclusive outside of SDCC when they said that SDCC was the only way to get him.
To be fair, though, when that statement was originally made, I understood it to mean that the Brainstorm found in the SDCC set was exclusive to that set, meaning the specific deco it's painted in, which resembles most closely his IDW style than his G1 toy or cartoon appearances. It was only later that people started to think that there would be no "mass retail" release of the figure when someone pointed out he wasn't in any of the upcoming deluxe wave line-ups.

Good luck with that. While there are some kids who play nice, there are many who just dont know how to play with toys. But to be fair, its partly because Transformers require a more mature child of 8+ but the popularity of the films and associated media have pushed Hasbro to keep it as 5+ to sell as many toys as possible to an audience who wants TF merchanside but who maybe is not the right audience.

Perfect for a 5 year old!
In that case, I feel the one steps are a good middle ground. They can profit off those for the younger kids and keep the other tfs for more 8+ and handle them accordingly. One thing is for certain, the parents will not change their parenting.

Well Hasbro was pretty clear about what they meant when they said it. The question was if we would see the new tooling for Brainstorm outside the set. But looking at the video now (transformers-titans-return-product-reveals-news-updates-rumors-leaks-and-more--t105496s6475.php#p1798828) I am noticing they stop for a bit and give their standard "no info at this time" answer. They did say no first though.

I guess it's obvious in hindsight, huh? Suppose for future reference when they pause and give a standard answer, it actually means "Yes, but we want more money out of you".

The one-step changers and the EZ-2-DO Rescue Bots have been a huge hit with my nephew. I got him his first Transformers, Rescue Bots Optimus Prime and Bumblebee, when he was about 3.5 or 4 years old. He absolutely loved them. Last October, not too long after he had turned 5 years old, I gave him TRU "Classics" Soundwave, RiD15 Gold Armor Grimlock, and Combiner Wars Optimus Prime with all the Optimus Maximus limbs. It took a few tries, but the transformations are just right for his skill level, and he loves converting them back and forth, especially putting them together into what he calls a "megabot" (e.g., combiner/gestalt form). I'm going to be giving him the Sky Reign figures this September for his 6th birthday. I think Hasbro has done a good job figuring out how to better scale the brand to different age and skill levels quite well in recent years. There's a nice easy learning curve for kids, as long as parents are willing to do a little homework on what they buy for their children.

Both are easy passes for me. Looks like if I want a good G1 Galvatron I gotta pay the extra monies for a third party one.
I have anxiety, depression and aspergers syndrome so my behaviour can be erratic. I don't mean offense to anyone. Just very picky about my Transformers collecting. You're all cool!
Likes: Bayverse, Marvel UK G1, Geoff Senior art, '86 movie (more for style/soundtrack rather than Star Wars plot)
Dislikes: Bumblebee movie (lousy rehashed dumb crud), TFA, G1 cartoon, IDW G1, BW/BM, MP. The entire concept of Autobot Megatron

What's wrong with this one? If it's the head, you've already shown you'd be fine with paying for third party stuff - and a head replacement would be both likely and cost a great deal less than an entire figure.

I have a feeling that like the legends class during Combienr Wars, that titan amster class wont necesasrily be in synch with the rest. It reminds me of RID last year where the 2 waves of minicons (and the ONLY wones we have gotten so far in North America) came out simultaneously.
