What's TP? Iknow its not Thurd Party or Toilet Paper but those are the first things that came to mind.

And wow, ask and you shall recieve. Someone wanted to know about retools and redecos, well here you go!

My guess is Trasmissions Podcast, but I'm probably wrong. :-?

(I think I know who their source is by now too. This whole situation is becoming increasingly silly.)

Why is it becoming increasingly silly? I've had the belief for a while now that all these leaks have been ordered by hasbro to hype and gauge interest

I highly doubt that, from talking to them. It kinda sucked to have a whole panel at BotCon with no real reveal (other than possibly Overlord).

Plus, leaks of anything are actually really dangerous for any company - it lets their competitors know what their future plans may or may not be and plan accordingly. There's a reason people get fired for leaking things.

Maybe but if that was the case then they would know that the leaks are happening and the culprit would be dealt with. So we are left with three distinct possibilities

1) they know and don't care as it allows them to see reactions

2) they just don't care or maybe too busy to care

3) it's on purpose

How would they know for sure? Leaks happen literally all the time. It could be multiple people linking it; there's no surefire way for Hasbro to know exactly who it is with their thousands of employees. That's just pure conjecture.

Still no rumors for fangry, hosehead, squeezeplay, horribull, siren and nightbeat and that's massively disappointing. The one thing I wanted from this line was new versions of the original headmasters and I'm starting to lose faith in it happening. :(

They... weren't the original headmasters. The original (normal) headmasters were Hardhead, Chromedome, Highbrow, Weirdwolf, Brainstorm, Mindwipe and Skullcruncher, which we are all getting new versions of. Along with Apeface, Snapdragon, Scorponok and Fort Max - the latter getting a massive toy this year, the former getting a Titan Master toy along with Snapdragon and Scorponok... will probably come in a few years.
The six you mentioned were the smaller headmasters from the year after Chromedome and co.

2. There will be a Titans Return Deluxe Class Quake who will be a repaint of Hardhead

3. There will be a Titans Return Deluxe Class Kup

4. There will be a Titans Return Deluxe Class Topspin

5. The guys from transmissions Speculate that because topspin is getting a figure that there very well could be a deluxe Twintwist as well. Seeing as how their paired action masters But there is no word on this yet if at all

6. During Botcon one of the guys from RadiofreeCybertron asked John warden if there is a chance for a headmaster Arcee. Seeing as how he loves HM Arcee and the response he got was alone the lines of "you'll be happy in 2017" however transmissions podcast can't confirm this yet as they have not heard about this from there source. So it is to be treated as a rumor not from them.

1. Meh, he's a croc in name only, can't say I'm crazy about that. I think most people wanted the Optimus croc, but we've already got two Ops planed for this line so that probably wont happen. I guess that rumored Voyager Megatron overrules a beast Megatron as well.

2. Why do Targetmasters keep getting TR deluxe figures, but some actual Headmasters are only getting Titan Master figures? I'd prefer Quake remain a realistic Earth tank. I guess we can rule out Quake as the TSS 4.0 mystery figure to go with Needlenose and Spinister. I think this mold would have made an excellent Gutcruncher repaint.

3. Well, we already have Blurr and Scourge and a rumored Hot Rod so sure, let's redo all of the original movie characters...

4. Well that came out of nowhere. Man, there sure are a lot of blue figures in this line. I'm thinking Brainstorm repaint if not a new mold.

5. Paired Actionmasters? Topspin and Twintwist? Did I miss something?

6. Another movie character, but more importantly an ACTUAL HEADMASTER character. Not that I have a problem with random characters suddenly having removable heads, but let's not forget the rest of the headmasters now that most of the '87 originals have been remade here.

I know what they are maybe I should've said classic or something instead of original but I'm pretty sure my point was clear >:oP I wanted updates of all the characters that were initially headmasters before getting non traditional headmasters.

Ok, trying to answer several people out there now:

ScottyP: I'm not forgetting you buddy! I would love the DotM styled bases. I never managed to get any as that was before my main collecting began, but they were cool and I loved the Starscream version. Plus it would be awesome not to have to spend $45 to get base parts for your Fort Max.

Kurona: I hated movie Sentinel so much because of who he killed. Ironhide is my sister's favorite and she refused to allow me to buy Sentinel while i was present. and the only reason i got him was to add to my movie bad guys shelf. Kinda fitting that his voyager toy sucked so hard. The guy has always been an arse

Autobot N: This list disappoints me fairly greatly in similar ways to Va'al mentioned. Before Botcon, we already knew which characters were getting released this year. we know all the toys coming out this year! And now we are starting on next years toys. that kinda sucks really, as we have the rumors, then months later we see figures, and then it's even more months until release. Now mind you I like the looks of the characters as I would so buy Krok, Topspin and Twintwist, but at the same time, it makes me sad that Hosehead, Siren etc. aren't getting toys. they are the originals and they deserve it. At least with RiD since leaks there aren't anywhere near this, there are awesome surprises, like Bisk and Ratchet. :MAXIMAL:

Exactly! That's one reason why it really sucks! Look at it this way: We knew for a while that we were getting Domey, and he isn't coming out until around September/October. Bisk and Ratchet are coming out at the exact same time, yet we didn't know about them until Botcon, so it reality it shortens the wait period by several months, among other things that make leaks depressing :MAXIMAL:

The app has shown us stuff, but it really isn't that consistent, and far less people pay attention to it so it really isn't discussed frequently. It also means that some things can be passed up, and I didn't recall any of those actually being listed and taken seriously. But yes, you are right. It's just discussed far less so less spoilerish, and more easily forgotten :MAXIMAL:

Speaking of leak sources, the guys making the game would certainly know about these new figures long before they're made public, same for the figure box artists and any other outsiders involved in the figures either directly or indirectly. It's impossible for them pin down the source unless they feed false information to one they suspect.

Maybe Hasbro should do things more like Takara Tomy and show stuff off in an early state so fewer people are in on it. On the other hand Hasbro must know we know what's been leaked and how accurate certain sources are, and yet they still deny everything and think they're revealing things on their own terms when they're not.

There was a digibash of Takara's UW Strafe as Topspin, it looked really good. It will probably be another headmaster of course, but I am sure fans would be wuite happy if it was the strafe mold instead as a way to finally get the mold and have one less character be a headmaster. I would be much happier if it was a new mold, but I doubt that.
And I dont think you are missing something, I dont think the person who wrote those rumours knows what the action masters are because those two sure arent.

You gotta admit though, the ransforming vehicle for apeface was an awesome surprise and something we didnt see coming. But maybe thats why he was the star of the show, he was the only surprise of the entire line.

Not bad at all. He is a very niche character. So much so that he was relegated to the TF Club subscription service. I didnt know about Quake until today (not gonna have to revise my top 5 tank list though). That late G1 stuff that never made it onto the screen is very niche and the biggest appeal is either with the characters that were used in the comics eventually or simply by fans who had these toys as kids and loved em.

You learn things everyday. Though this is the first I hear of fans wanting that. I thought they wanted a Megatron out ofthat mold instead. And dear lord, did the G1 cartoon have any restraint over sillyness?! (rhetorical question)

It would be more as an homage than the exact thing as in the cartoon. People who watched that episode know that Alligaticon was just a robotic alligator with some of Prime's parts, whereas Hasbro would want to make it just an alligator Optimus Prime.

At least the cartoon tried to treat it as something grotesque and abominable (or at least, as much as 1980s Saturday morning children's cartoon BSnP would allow it).

Really? It was mentioned several times as a probable repaint when the mold was first announced. Fansproject even made a 3P one.

You gotta admit though, the ransforming vehicle for apeface was an awesome surprise and something we didnt see coming. But maybe thats why he was the star of the show, he was the only surprise of the entire line.

I can dig that. That and Flywheels. Both of those are awesome versions of their larger selves in tiny form :MAXIMAL:
