Aye, so far his hip ratchets have held together, nor are there other issues that the Hasbro one had too, so fingers crossed that the Hastak one have finally fixed those

A very modest haul here.
Finally got myself a TR Kup! I had to go to my local geek store to buy his last one. He sell his TR and CW deluxes 5$ more than retail but it's understandable, being a small independent store. Beside, it's still cheaper than Ebay and I didn't want to miss out.
No regrets here because Kup is AMAZING.
While being there, I also got a G1 Cosmos. No deal here but at least, it's finally mine. He come with his tech specs at least.

Also at the same Geek Store, I got a pair of third party figures. GO IN THE 3P HAUL THREAD TO SEE THEM.

After an incredibly long journey that began August 24 and ended September 4 ... G1 Quickmix has arrived!
Honestly ... it's quicker to get stuff from overseas than domestically.

Haha, indeed. Orion Pax is superb, and I got a Kup incoming as soon as the store finally gets Octone. *sigh*
I have Octone, Blitzwing, Kup, Perceptor, Misfire and Cosmos in that order. All of them waiting for that **** to arrive so they can all make the journey to my door.

Finally got my hands on a Go Prime at a good price, only ¥3080 or about $28 after shipping, from Mandarake. Only thing wrong with it was the tape was cut, the figure was still tied into the package.
I really wasn't sure if this would ever get here, it shipped on July 28 and just arrived today. It didn't arrive in New York until August 29, no idea why it would sit in Japan unmoved for so long, and didn't leave New York until September 3. Pretty crazy, I've never waited so long for something to ship before through SAL, that's over 5 weeks!
Well, he's here now, and with that I finally completed getting all four figures from this mold.

This is an accurate representation of Australia Posts Processing Centre in Underwood.
Anyhoo ... yesterday I got a TR Repugnus.
Could have gotten a lot more, but you know ... over $2000 to pay out in bills in the next week.
Plus I really want that Top Gun soundtrack on vinyl that I found

At work, missed THREE deliveries, but fortunately, my wife happened to be home to receive 1, and the other is waiting for me at the neighbours, and the third (the big one with Octone) will be delivered again tomorrow. Oh well. Pics later!!!

Decided to stop at Walmart last night after work. Made some decent tips with delivery, so I thought I'd see if anything had come. We got a restock of the Titans Return wave 3, and the Getaway that was sitting on that shelf finally went, only to be replaced by the new one. Nothing new TLK or RiD.
But, since Getaway has been sitting at this walmart for 4 months, I went ahead and picked him up. Got him for the purpose of seeing if one of my titan masters could use his body and thus be a full body character. Kinda disappointed since I haven't had any real luck. Fangry and Shuffler are the 2 that appear to work the best, but I'm not satisfied yet.
But yes, TR Getaway with Throttle. My haul.

You guys up for a story?
So recently I saw on social media that a local vintage store had gotten some new Transformers in, and so I popped down there with the sole intention to buy just this fellow:

Things quickly snowballed.
I also snagged these two, (featuring cameo by sleeping doggo), both 100% complete, as is Overkill.

AND THEN, the main event. I am now the proud owner of THIS:

Not just any boxed G1 Optimus Prime, but a French Release boxed G1 Optimus Prime.

(Check that **** out!)
100% complete and legitimate, and it's just beautiful. I've done all my homework and confirmed it is all consistent with the Euro releases. It's in such good condition, especially since it had to come from France to Colorado in it's original packaging at some point.
The best part? I paid just $200 for the lot. (The Casettes and Prime, plus some bits and Bobs that said collectibles store is well known for throwing in for free)

I'm so ecsatic. A Boxed G1 Prime is the corner piece to any major TF collection, and I'm so glad to finally have my own. Especially since it pretty much just fell into my lap.
Sorry if this is long winded, I don't mean to be boastful, I'm just so excited.

I saw you comment on that shops post the other day!
That's a pretty decent price for all those figures. They could easily have charged $200 just for Prime.

I was thinking about the same. As cool as Face is though, that Gene Simmons button is even cooler haha!
I don't understand the obsession with boxed G1's though. Why keep em in the box? Such a shame. I'd rather pay much less for an opened but complete G1 prime than $200 for a boxed one. Sure it's mint, but who cares? Display that sucker!

Boxed dosent necessarily mean sealed. So that MOFO can still be opened and played with, it will not change it's value.
And speaking of value, really nice score! I consider this a 200$ Optimus with free bonus cassettes.

Indeed! The secret is to either buy open boxed (SOOOOO much easier with older G1 figures that don't have annoying twist ties and can easily be put back in the box (stickers are a compromise, though)) or buy a loose one to go with the MIB one. Everything I have MIB also has a loose counterpart (except for Powermaster Joyride, still need to get one of those loose).
And yeah, $200 for a foreign boxed Optimus Prime is a great deal, everything else is a bonus.

I usually wouldn't go for MIB myself, but when it comes to legendary G1 figures like Optimus Prime or Soundwave; it's another story. At least for me it's like they're mythical, legendary; like peering into another time and having some sort of higher status above everything else. I wouldn't apply this to everything, of course -- random figures like Kickback or Afterburner or Waverider wouldn't get the honour. But for Optimus it just seems... 'right'.

Thanks everybody!! Glad to know my celebration is justified!
And yes, he his not sealed by any means. So this mofo/sucker shall be played with/displayed accordingly, trust me.
In fact, Overkill has already been taken over by Minibot. I found this last night when I came up to bed:

In tonight's performance, the role of Godzilla will be played by Overkill.
This is pretty much my philosophy. Like, it's cool to see them in their boxes, but I don't really care, other than Optimus. This was my probably one and only grab at a boxed figure. Even a boxed Megatron I wouldn't be nearly as interested in.
OH! Also! I found out my Ravage is the rarer screw hip variant, making him quite a bit more valuable. (E.g.http://m.ebay.com/itm/Ravage-100-Comple ... Ciid%253A9) The party keeps going!

Soundwave? meh, see, the appeal with a MIB Prime to me, is he actually looks good in that box.
Soundwave? It's a blue rectangle.
But that's just me. I wouldn't kick him out of the collection that's for sure.

I tried the Beelzeboss upgrade kit on for size. Looks amazing on OP as a bot, good as a truck, but it's crap as combiner. Probably not meant to be used inb combined mode, which is stupid.

Each times I say "I will NEVER buy this figure, I end up buying it anyway. So, which one is it this time?
Well, Mr "I-Will-Just-Buy-On-Sale", TR Trypticon!

I'm too tired to properly open him up and apply the 150 stickers for now. I do hope I won't regret this purchase because HOLY CRAP was that bot expensive for a regular retail figure. 230$CAN plus taxes is the highest price ever for a regular store. That include any platinum sets.
Everybody told me that Hasbro didn't made the same mistake as with Fortmax or Metroplex and they didn't overproduced him this time around. Making his high price pretty much set in stone.
There's rent and groceries to pay so how to satisfy my plastic crack addiction? Buying from my local geek store and exchanging him some figures for store credits of course!
Having lost interest in Movie Leader figures (Except Optimus '07 and Buster, Jetfire, and Starscream) I decided to sacrificed them.
So, I gave him: Leader 07 Megatron, Leader ROTF Megatron, Leader DOTM Ironhide, Leader DOTM Sentinel Prime, AD-31 Optimus Prime, and a loose Hasbro MP-Beetle Bee bought on "super clearance". This gave me 225$CAN in store credits and all I had to pay was the remaining 40$CAN to cover the taxes.
I don't regret the leader Megs at all because there were only two and they sucked. The others I grew bored and that Bee was just an "investment".
I do hope the trade-off will be worth it but I have the feeling it will. Because I tried a demo TR Trypticon in store and that made me take the plunge.
One thing is sure, I will NOT miss out on ANY Titan Class figures. Not now, not ever.
