If I gave a crap about that character and that figure, and if I had the money, I would have bought 4: 1 to keep MISB, and 3 to display (1 in vehicle mode, 1 in Punch robot mode and 1 in CounterPunch robot mode).
Don't think I wasn't tempted to buy a third one for car mode like I did the G1 figure.

Do I FINALLY have some Transformers to show off? Yes I do!

I randomly went to Walmart just in case and here they were, ALL the G1 Minibots, among them 3 Bee. So I took one Bee and left the rest. I don't care for the other bots and I'm no scalper.

I'm pretty impressed by the quality of this little guy. PAINT everywhere, and two stickers! My keychain version was totally naked. No paint at all and no stickers. I had to repro him a

. Plus the reissue is much more solid than the keychain. Well worth the 12$CAN + taxes.

Awesome Kan. I am on the hunt myself for the WM reissues. So far, nothing in store, but Hot Rod from online was delivered yesterday. Hopefully the rest will pop up soon somewhere close by.

On the subject of the leaders and now Voyagers disappearing from Walmarts (mine are suffering the same fate, haven't seen a leader since March in walmart), it's really looking like Target is becoming the place to go. I have yet to see Cyberverse at Walmart, they carry all the size classes, and they are getting Titan Predaking soon (and that may be where I end up buying him, if I see him in stores)

Dunno what's up in the USA, but over here, there's voyagers and leaders aplenty in Walmart store. Relatively speaking to the very tiny TF section, of course.

It's a total mystery. They stop carrying Leaders and Voyagers, and yet they still have peg after peg of RID figures. And they haven't set aside any space for Cyberverse, which as much as I don't really care for those figures it doesn't bode well having so many Transformers missing from the shelves.

BTW, I checked on Hun-Gurrr, he was also priced at $10 so it wasn't just an Elita-1 thing. I decided to scan everything else since the scanner was right next to the Transformers, but everything else was normal priced.

Emerje, I checked a few Walmarts over the weekend here. They all had Elita, Hun Gurr, and SS Starscream. They all scanned for full price. I'm guessing it's a fluke at your Walmart. I see all kinds of toys in Walmart clearance isles that don't make sense sometimes. I'm starting to think Walmart toy dept. managers don't always know what their doing. 8-}

Here's a few things I picked up over the weekend.

Went to the only Ross in town hoping to find Cogman. No luck, but I found Steelbane. I'm liking him way more than I expected. Really dig the knight design in bot mode. The colors and paint apps all look good, and the QC on the fig is pretty tight. He's hitting a lot of Beast Wars feels for me. Especially with those great ball jointed ankles.
Finally found Wave 3 PotPie Legends at one of the aforementioned Walmarts.

And, Kriky!!!!! I finally have a Burn action figure!!!! :KREMZEEK:

I think the PotP Voyagers are a fluke, but the SS Voyagers no longer have shelf space in the Transformers section at this Walmart and they've now gone and put big clearance stickers right on the three remaining Starscream figures in the clearance aisle.

I'm guessing this is very much a YMMV. Just last week I hit around 8+ Walmarts in three states and a few targets. They all had shelf space for SS deluxe and voyagers. The targets had space for the leaders as well. I also hit the Tj Rosshalls circuit pretty hard as well.

I have been seeing Elita and Hun Gurr pretty regularly at Wally as well.

I personally think its a bit nuts that in light of now having potentially more demand for toys now that TRU is gone, for Walmart to abandon stocking certain classes. IN contrast, we still have TRU in Canada and yet Walmart stocks leaders and voyagers.

Yeah, it's very unusual. All this talk about non-traditional stores opening up toy departments, KB Toys (possibly) coming back, and Party City launching 50 Toy City stores this year you'd think Walmart would want a piece of the action, not go the other direction and reduce the real estate of major brands. What kind of strategy is this?

I wanted to highlight this because thats another bonkers thing. The fact that Walmart doesnt stock Necca figures makes some kind of sense since they want to stock stuff for a wide audience, rather than a niche market. But Hasbro is the US's biggest company, and Brian Goldner said that Transformers is the toyline with the most growth. So while we as fans dont make up a giant market, the TF Market itself is huge, or should be (based on growth and demand). We are fans of a major brand.

I do still think this is all a fluke though since not everyone is seeing the same thing and we are in the middle of a back to school restock. At least I hope thats the case because anything else makes no sense. Why wouldnt America's number 1 toy retailer (in terms of sales) not the main toys of the biggest toy company?! 8-}

Neither. I travel a lot for work. Last week I had a seven hour drive to where I was working. I pulled off the interstate when ever I spotted hunting grounds.

That was kind of the extreme, but I regularly cross state lines and my normal range is 3+ hour drives. In fact I'll be traveling over 3 hours to Alabama today. Another 3 state trip (including my home state).

I waste more time hunting then I'd like to admit.

Ha I get it. I just went on a trip in PA where the are a bunch of stores known to stock TFs. I hit up 2 Targets, 3 Walmarts, and an Ollies. Didn't see much unfortunately but had to be done.
