I saw that, and I am so pissed at everything that has gotten us to this point. At this rate, my Volcanicus upgrade kit will arrive before I ever get a wave 2 deluxe. The 3 non dinobots are sort of reasonable to very well priced on 3 different stores for each deluxe, but the dinobots are scalper priced, and I cannot get more than a single figure anywhere anywhere near afordable.

I was more excited for Inferno. I like the Jurassic Park films, but the dinosaurs, as much as I love them, spook me in the movies when they're on the attack. It's "real" not a documentary.

And then you have the monsters like Indominus and Indoraptor. Indoraptor is the scariest thing in any of the 5 movies. It's terrifying AF.

So I was glad to find Inferno cause he felt like a prize for sitting in that movie that I knew would spook me but when with family and friends anyway

So I ended up at TRU tonight (a massive arcade opened at the mall so I made the rare trip down) and checked out what was left of the store. If I wanted Power Rangers movie figures I would have been set, but Transformers were nearly non-existent. I did find one of those Rubik's Optimus Prime figures and a still sealed Alt Modes blind box. The only Alt figures I have are Ultra Magnus and Megatron so I figured the odds were good that I'd get something I didn't already have (the price tag was covering the hole). Nope, another Megatron...

Managed to score a Studio Series Blackout at Kmart for a mere $24.99 after tax after cashing in $26.30 in reward points. I can happily forgive shellforming and weird hands at that price.

And while they aren't Transformers, Walmart had those cheap Alternators-style Mars Robots on clearance for $5 so I got the gray and blue ones. I just hope this means Walmart is bringing back Leader class now that the space is open again.

I told myself to take a small break from buying toys, after my last haul, but it didn’t last very long. I wasn’t going to pass up Takara B’Boom/Apache and TM Airazor with the blue and pearl deco for $13 and $10 respectively.

Now OP Minor has a new buddy.

I also picked up TLK Strafe, because I felt like I really needed him to balance out my small movie Dinobot display. I’m pretty happy with him. The blue on him really pops next to Scorn and SS Grimlock. I also picked up my first ever 3rd party upgrade, Guilty’s Pride weapon upgrade for Takara FoC Starscream.

I was a little iffy on him, at first, but he’s a pretty great toy. I really like that he has a turret mode. It reminds me of Darkmount/Straxus/Skullgrin, the way I can use one of the smaller Maximals to man the turret. He’s got a lot of unique qualities. Makes him stand out.

B'Boom is a good figure, but back in the day he was a real shelf warmer, as was Transquito. They were over stocked at most places and could easily be found on clearance. And even 20 years later they've never gained much value making them great for collections.

Don't forget FUSOR INJECTOR. This ugly mofo is rad as hell. Because he's universally hated, he's still cheap and easy to get. He's my favorite Beast War toy. No, really.

Had an awesome haul at Ollie's today! Saw some people discussing their new stock on the forums and rushed to my local one. Having never spotted Overlord at mass retail, seeing ~15 of the buggers sitting there raised some serious questions. One day, that Blitzwing will be Tarn... one day...

Oh, I don’t mind at all. An account on eBay called hobbylot has quite a few Takara Beast Wars/BW Neo figures. A lot of them are great deals. B’Boom, TM Airazor, Buzzsaw, Jetstorm, Bighorn/Bonecrusher, TM Rattrap, Stampy to name a few. Cheetor, Longrack, and the Airazor/Quickstrike two pack are a little more, but still great prices. I contacted the seller beforehand to confirm that they are Takara products, and they do do combined shipping. Just take the highest shipping cost, and add 50% of the shipping cost for each additional item. I’d still fire off a message to the seller to let them know if you’re buying multiple items, just in case, but it all worked out great for me. I think my shipping was $15.

Was it because distribution suck in your neck of the wood? Because both had been available like ROACHES in a dump for months on clearance over here. Just recently they have finally be cleared out of the store shelves but it took a while.

By the way, I got some VERY interesting stuff yesterday. One incredibly lucking find in a store and many online orders finally coming in. But I was too tired to post anything. I'll show it off later today, both in the TF Haul Thread and in the "Everything else" Haul Thread.

Was it because distribution suck in your neck of the wood? Because both had been available like ROACHES in a dump for months on clearance over here. Just recently they have finally be cleared out of the store shelves but it took a while.

I only saw them both once, at Target, the local Walmarts didn't get them at all (lots of of the Prime/Megatron wave and Broadside/Megatron wave). I picked up Blitzwing and left Octone since I had the Legends version pre-ordered (but did get the TR version recently on Amazon). Apparently some Targets got a ton of this wave and had a bunch of them on clearance, but my Target only got that single case.

A while back I made reference to some good friends that had gotten me back into finishing off my original Beast Wars collection. More specifically the variants of the molds I liked. Alas, picture free (I've got good ones I'll get around to posting someday) a couple months later, I have completed my collection.

Virtually all of the more exotic BW2/Neo variants came from the US, with Volfang coming all the way from Oz (yes, it was the most expensive). However, that's it, I'm done!

Collection complete. Now I await the next MP Beast Wars figure, whenever the latest Metroplex drops down to a more reasonable/Sale price and of course, when HasTak pull their finger out and make a new Scorponok. I collect in sets, after all. It keeps my focus.

Ok well up in the North we got a bunch, and they are still there sharing the space with Hun Gurr and Elita 1 (pic taken today)



Oh and as for my haul, I actually got a bunch of stuff. I was able to get SS Blackout and Grimlock for 25 USD$ each at TRU and got SS Megatron and Brawl as well for 15 USD$ each. (obviously, the price is much higher in Canadian dollars, but 32$ and 20$ CAD doesnt sound as cool)
