Well....
…………..Who I was kidding, really?

I went to my local TrU and SCORE! All the dinobots limbs were there! Only a single Swoop remained and all my instincts told me to grab the quatuor before it's too late. So I did. Along a lone Moonracer.
At the register, I price matched with my phone showing the Walmart sale. At Walmart.ca, all the PotP deluxes are 15$CAN, except Dreadwing who is 13$ (the guy is the new Bumblebee it seem). Because all the PotP deluxes have the same code at TrU, I made sure to only show Walmart's Dreadwing to the cashier. And it worked! 7$ (and change) OFF! Add a 25$ off TrU Club coupon on top of that and I got some mad deal. 5 deluxes at barely above 9$CAN each... WITH taxes!

(Click picture to zoom)
Not pictured is my second Moonracer, bought at Walmart for 15$CAN + taxes. I should have gotten Grimlock when I had the chance...

Let's hope for a restock of the first wave of voyagers. And if push come to shove, there's always my local geek shop...
I'll open and try out everybody once I'm less tired.

My first day of Comiccon and I'm already broke.
No thanks to SOME STUFF and my unwillingness to wait for PotP Grimlock to go back on store shelves.

Sure, 40$ taxes included for it is expensive. But it's only 5.50$ more than full retail price. Not too shabby considering that the same guy was selling the Dinobots limbs at 40$... EACH. So, not taking any chance here. I did had some ridiculous savings on the limbs after all. I've yet to open and try anything though.

Some nice finds, Kanrabat. The Dinobots are fine for what they are. I’m just hoping that in a couple years we get some that are larger and aren’t hindered by any gimmicks, like being combiners. They do look awfully nice when they’re together on a shelf though.
Got some nice deals on eBay, but I really do have to put a halt to any more purchases for a couple months. Got Reveal the Shield OP, which turned out to be a hell of a lot smaller than I was expecting. Especially for that line of toys. No complaints about him other than that. Finally bought a Reveal the Shield Battle in Space two pack. Not really a fan of Rodimus in bot mode unfortunately, but I do enjoy his alt and transformation. The figure itself just feels very cheap to me. I mostly bought the two-pack for Cyclonus. His alt mode is a little “meh,” but I’m really glad I got him. I’m tempted to pick up the Platinum set some day, because I think he looks amazing in that clear purple plastic. And Reveal the Shield Strafe. He’s cool. He’s fun. And since I’ll never buy a Mindwipe for the crazy prices he goes for, I’m glad that I’ll still be able to enjoy that mold. Almost done with the RtS line now. Although I doubt I’ll ever get a Lugnut.
I also got a used Depthcharge in good condition for dirt cheap. Missing his tail and two misses, but I figure I can just be very patient, and wait until someone is selling the parts for a price I like. Lastly I got a TM Scavenger. Talked the seller down a couple bucks from an already reasonable price. I absolutely love this toy. He’s gorgeous. And luck for me, despite his paint being metallic orange, zero chipping or flaking. The dark red clear plastic pieces look so good. I’m happy I picked him up.

I'm enjoying those Dinobots WAY more than I thought I would. The bots are solid, the dinos are solid too. Even Grimlock, with his "junky backÉ" being not that bad. I've yet to combine them but so far, no regrets. Especially for the price that I paid overall.
RTS Lazer Optimus is just a deluxe. If you were expecting a voyager, it's too bad (he should have been though) Having been there when RTS was in store, I got all I wanted at normal or sales price at the time. Too bad I didn't get a few more Lugnuts when they were on the TrU shelf at 15$CAN each on clearance... there was like, 30 of them... Sigh... As for the Rodimus VS Cyclonus, I sold the Rodimus one for 5$ to some guy and I bought the Henkei one instead. The Henkei have VERY nice colors and translucent windows. BiS Roddy with his solid blue windshield is just unforgivable.
Some weeks back, I bought a Universe Deph Charge. A very NICE toy, Mine only missing a single disk. However, you should had paid a bit more to get one that was already 100% complete. I doubt you'll ever find the missing parts for yours at a reasonable price.
Entering a hobby and going back for older stuff is pricey and troublesome. But in the end, it's always worth it.

Oh, I knew he’s a deluxe, but he’s just so small for a deluxe. He’s still fine though.
I wanted depthcharge complete, but I just didn’t want to pay as much as he’s been going for. I can be patient when it comes to buying his missing accessories.
Going back and filling in holes can be expensive, but I gave myself some guidelines. I already know what I want, and what it goes for vs what i think it’s worth/what I’m willing to pay. I think I’ve done a pretty good job so far.

Until you Open Pandora's Box and unleash it. Then like a rabid madman, you'll start collecting a whole line of expensive stuff and then you'll wonder what the Hell happened.

Was killing time yesterday and stopped by a Walgreen's in midtown St. Louis to browse their Transformers selection. I moved a few toys aside and found...Cyber Batallion Shockwave!

Last day of Montreal Comiccon. Being broke as hell, all I could manage to get was something very small. However, I was quite lucky to have found it:
PotP Dinobot Slash! Only 20 cents more than full retail price with taxes. Pretty nice for a bot now impossible to find in local stores.

She's quite nice. The dino mode is cute and menacing, despite the gaps on her sides. Now my Dino team is fully complete thanks to the Dinobot's loli mascot! Must protecc.
Speaking of fembots, have an Elita-1:

A lone Mandrake box have finally arrived. Here's Takara's Activator Animated Thundercracker! SEALED! At least, in theory. I'm pretty sure it was open and resealed because there's goopy rectangles in some places. As if the tape was once removed and new one put back on, but not exactly at the same places. Meh, 2500jpy shipped is still a good deal. Especially compared to those insane Ebay prices. That is, if you can find it at all.

My wall is coming along nicely. There's two more small Thundercrackers coming soon from Mandrake as well.

One of the local Walmarts managed to clear out all of their PotP Voyager Starscreams (but one) and Grimlocks and packed the shelves with Voyager wave 2, five or six cases worth! Finally got me a Hun-Grrr after a disappointing Monday night. I'm now 3-6 on the Terrorcons, just need Sinnertwin, Cutthroat, and Cindersaur.

TF's but not toys

So. From the first pressing, the only one I was able to obtain was the Bumblebee variant. But I was able to obtain (not yet in hand) every variant of the second pressing, so it spurred me into action to complete the first pressing run. Which was these two: Optimus Prime and Megatron.
And y'know, I really kind of hate it. Unless you open them up, you can't tell them apart. I don't know what they're doing to distinguish the difference between the variants in pressing #2, but there is virtually no distinguishable difference in the 1st run besides the Op variant has a tiny red dot sticker on the front cover in the top left. Megatron has nothing, and Bumblebee has nothing. It is going to be really tough to keep track of what's what.

Fed up by the total lack of anything in my local TrU and Walmart, I bought something that I thought I would never get: RID Combiner Force Galvatronus.

At 35$CAN instead of fifty, it was time. So how is that set? Pretty nifty I say. Cyclonus himself have a very nice transformation. All the vehicles are great looking and I LOVE the shine that plastic have.

The bots are still very nice for what they are. Cyclonus cheat with the combiner ports as his hands and it work. The girls are more advanced than I thought while the purple boys suffer because of their leg mode. Sad that there's no way for Cyclonus to wield the gun.

The combined mode is SOLID. Sure, it's a brick, but a great looking brick. The shoulders could lock in more solidly and the big head reveal is a bit too sensitive, but overall, Galvatronus just ROCK it.

So he deserves a place on the Honor Shelf!
